Default What is your range of good emotions?

Hi,
Here is a page with lists of
1. positive emotions
2. negative emotions

http://www.self-improvement-mentor.c...-emotions.html

The page encourages us to notice the wide range of good emotions we experience and to notice that the negative emotions are likely not as intense as we think.

Quote:
Postive Human Emotions

Adequate Awe Assured Able
Capable Certain Charmed Cheerful
Comfortable Compassion Courageous Confidence
Determined Delighted Eager Energetic
Enthusiastic Excited Exhilarated Expectant
Elation Empathy Excellent Fascinated
Glad Good Great Grateful
Glorious Glamorous Graceful Happy
Hopeful Humorous Inspired Interested
Joyful Magnificent Lust Love
Pleasure Playfulness Peaceful Pleasant
Powerful Pride Positive Relaxed
Relieved Satisfied Surprised Sympathy
Stable Sublime Superior Thrilled
Do you have three good emotions you can list?

Good emotions:
~Adequate
~Relieved
~Empathy

Quote:
At the same time, notice that sometimes your negative emotions may not be as intense as you think. It depends on how we label the emotion. Perhaps you are not angry, rather just irritated. Or not disappointed but just frustrated.
I've got several negative emotions that range from mild to moderate. No intense ones (too tired and medicated for intense.

Negative emotions:
~annoyed
~irritated
~tired

I get the point of exaggerating the negative and minimizing the positive. But to be honest reading that list of positive emotions makes depresses me. most are not things i commonly experience, several are rare, and happen only in hypomanic or (very rare) exclusively manic domain. most on the negative list, are, on the other hand, sadly familiar to me.

but what the heck, 3 and 3, that i've experienced in the past year.

positive emotions:
...grateful
...sympathy
...playful

negative emotions:
...anger
...shame
...guilt

one last comment.... sorry, i can't resist!

Perhaps i'm not bipolar, just moody?

Default Hi Waves

Yeah,

I get that the chart is not designed for bipolars.
Some of those moods would be teetering toward hypomania in a person with bipolar. Is anyone here experiencing these: Magnificent, Elation, Superior??

I was surprised that my range is very small. I experience life within a very small spectrum (mostly depressed).

Red face

it is shocking to see these negative emotions.....
alot of them have to do with low self esteem, could be work or home life or social situations or family relationships....
It is good for us to be able to identify what it is that we are feeling.
Someone jsut told me that they cry when ever they feel anything.
one word that I feel should be on there but is not is
STRESS!!!! for most of us that is a negative emotion...but for others it is a motivation factor to get them going to finishing a project and then feel good about it.
some people are not effected by stress the way others do...IMO.

The only thing I can think of today is:

stressed
frustration
anxiety
hyper (if that is one?)
anger
sadness
hopeless
excited
elated
dopey

Usually I can list things but brain is fried currently. Just realized I viewed all the posts twice or more. ???? Oops!

A lot to do today. Hang there everyone!!! Make the most out of today. I'm going to do the best I can. Have to- or I'm going to drive my family absolutely nuts. Literally!
