~take the meds,
~keep yourself safe,
~sleep,

I'm in a list making mood. . . . should go back to bed.

i liked your lists - and find them useful... will be referring back to them, might copy onto paper for portability. :)

Cheese calories do not count if the cheese is really good. I made up that rule.
i only wish. it has been by far not my only excess... i must be getting about 4000 calories a day. :([/QUOTE]

well, i am not enjoying the fact that i am busting out of my pants already. i feel BIG AND BLOATED AND NOT MYSELF.:(:Bawling:

i regained all the weight that i lost i think. all of it in a couple weeks here, what 12-15 pounds? that it took me months to lose. i am afraid to check the scale again after i saw i was up 5lbs. :(

believe me, if something is tasty, Zyprexa counts those calories even more. Zyprexa goes straight to the pancreas, tickles the poor beta cells so they shoot out insulin for dear life, whereby the the liver converts the sugars into glycogen till he wakes up says, holdy horses here! i say!!! hey??? you just ate 1000 calories in one sitting but you are not scaling mount everest at rocket speed. so plump you up i will, well and good. and shovels all that excess into FAT. you know, addy pose to shoe.

:(

who said chocolate. the other day i ate an entire mega-bar (about 1/2 lb i think) of white chocolate with hazelnuts. the days following i had smaller bars of white chocolate, and some dark chocolate squares. this does not even begin to figure in the snacks i've been eating out of the machine which i never usually do.

AND I'VE BEEN HAVING A COKE during the day. i mean i love it, but also seems to provide the right sugar/caffeine balance to not keep me doped up like the too much coffee.... weird as it sounds - the more coffee i drank the dopier i remained. i like coke and it will be hard to go back to not having it. (i only usually have sodas of any kind as a rare treat.

I AM TRYINGGGGGGGG TO CHANGE THIS.

i cannot tolerate more weight but the impulses - craving aside - are stronger than me.

the only management i have is i have been asking myself to postpone action on the impulses. that works bceause since i'd pretty much always have soemthing going macka-macka-chomp-chomp, procrastinating means deleting something from the diet. yes, i know 'diet' not a very a propos use of the word there.

waaaaah. :hissyfit: i wish i could try geodon but it's a "reserved drug" - have to have schizophrenia dx to have it.

checked scale.

am a smidgeon over the maximum i ever weighed after the last stint i had with Zyprexa. which means i'll have even more to lose by the time i get off these dam pills. i was down to needing only 15 pounds left.... i'll be looking at 40 by the time i am done unless i d/c double quick. and even then the habits die hard.... i've been having foods i'm not used to having, on top of all the ones i am healthy or not.

i have been able to lose weight by drinking a lot of soup.....it stuffs you temporarily.....i have been making a vegetable soup with crushed tomato base and garlic peas corn and potatoes. I really got sick of lentil soup and i think this vegetable soup is easier to lose weight on.
don't worry about your weight now...when you are ready you will be able to drop the pounds again.....the zyprexa is working right? I hope so.

Dear Waves,
Postponing is a good plan. That can work. :)

Remember this is temporary. Maybe in a week or two you can reduce Zyprexa to 5 mgs.

Two suggestions:
1. that you not take in liquid calories (cola, alcohol) when you can avoid them.

Do you have microwave access at work for hot tea instead of cola? Yeah, I know it is nowhere near the same as cola. . . . maybe have half (truly half) cups of coffee that are not too agitating. Even if you have sugar in tea or coffee, you have taken in much less sugar ( as you know) than you would in a can of soda.

Zyprexa is unrelenting. Try what you can to maintain until you can get off the med.

2. that you sleep more. (Some people can sleep instead of eat.)

'Sending good vibes.

and think of it this way too.
perhaps a bag of tea only costs .20 cents a bag at most...compared to a can of pop out of a machine could be a dollar.
So you would be saving money.
Are you able to bring fresh fruit to work? Do you get a good protein based breakfast, like eggs? that would help keep you full until lunch.
I think you know this....and I know that morning time is very groggy for you...I am sorry for this.

well, but the solid calories seem to be less "useful." if the sugar in the cola is what is helping me unzombify at that time, it is also helping keep my job. it is working for me. i didn't have a soda today but had about the same coffee than yesterday - less than a few days ago. today i was good and did not have snacks either. i was very good - because i was hungry and tempted. tomorrow i mays not be as good. but i will try.

dear Bizi

yep, but normally (w/o Zyprexa) i do not eat breakfast as a rule - not hungry enough and would throw up if i did, Zyprexa has got me eating before i leave the house (yogurt or croissant or cheese sandwich or hardboiled eggs. and no, 2 eggs or whatever, does not keep me until lunch, believe me - have you ever taken this med before????????)

i can bring what i want but no use bringing fruit that i won't eat, in favor of machine snacks. i can't be bothered to think about the money when i buy machine stuff... and no it is not that expensive either. i've never been good at conversion diets (eat more of this and less of that.) and i just generally don't do fruit. vegs only at meals - that wuld not work for office snacking, i do indeed try to load up on vegs at meals though.)

yes - morning is groggy and pdoc things it s not just the zyprexa but that it plays int o my naturla zyleep cycle.... making me more tired at a peak tiredness time for me, if that makes sense..:hug::hug:
