I'm very tired, but can't sleep. Pain.
I'm just going to read here, and hopefully tire myself out.

Thank you for the love and encouragement!

Dear Kay

Anniversaries can be hard.

I understand feeling flat. Perhaps your feelings will morph a bit over time.

Dear Mari,

I think my feelings have changed since last year. No crying or pity parties this year.

Eventually, the anniversaries of deaths and those people's birthdays become a practice of avoidance. I can think them every other day though with different feeling.
I guess the MS dx anniversary is becoming the same thing,
----

The heat has been very hard for me. The temps have been higher than forecasted. Yesterday was 101. It's harder to move and I tire very easy.

Not much I can do about it, except stay home in the AC as much as possible.
---

My husband has to travel for work again. This time he'll be gone from Monday morning to Thursday night.
I don't like being alone for that long, but I'm sure I'll be fine.

Dear Kay

if only we could trade places for a few days (that is if you don't mind camping out on my fold out in the living room... not quite private). you also might miss some tv because even what they broadcast in english we are at very least a half season behind.

BUT, my parents would take great care of you... and you would NOT be allowed to do housework or chores ... you could go to the park or just mill around town. or hole up with a good book while my dad studies chinese hehe. go for an icecream at the place just down the road - one of the folks would prob love to go with. we don't have air conditioning but it isn't nearly as hot just now, we are in the 70's this year - i have to wear a cotton sweater or light jacket most of the time even indoors.

and i.... well... i would get your whole place to myself. [oh, aren't i just the generous one? ]

sending you some friendly hugs...

Thank you Bobby! I was diagnosed with MS 3 years ago, but have had it for a long time. It takes a while to get diagnosed, especially if you're living in denial.

Thank you Bizi!

Waves, That sounds like a good deal to me! How do you feel about cats, though? I have 3!

Mari, I'm in the middle of a new book. So I'll finish that one and get started on the one I bought Saturday. I have a couple of shows that I DVR'ed. I check the movie channels occasionally for something nice to watch or record.
I have a pdoc appointment on Wednesday and the appointment with Dr. B****Face on Thursday- that will keep me busy.

Hugs to all!!!
----

I picked my husband up from his workplace and drove him into the airport in Boston. It wasn't too bad. He has a layover, so won't arrive in Ohio until 5 or 6. When I finish reading here, I'm taking a nap.

It just occurred to me this morning that not only do I have to drive into Boston for my appointment at 1:30, but I also have to drive back in to pick my husband up at 8. UGH! That is not going to be good! Hopefully my appointment is brief so I can get home and get a decent nap in.

Yippppeeeee!!!!!
[cheat: I was pretty sure you had a couple at least.] I love cats. I haven't been able to have a cat in a long time. I spend time with cats when i can. i miss having them around. we had a few over the years and a good few more who unofficially adopted us.

currently when i go to my pdoc, if it isn't raining, there is sometimes a cat out in a plant hanger. there is catnip in it for him... i guess they let him use it to sun himself. he comes and sniffs my fingers. that's as close as we've got. last time he meowed when i talked.

is there any place in Boston comfortable enough for you to hang out for a while. or even a couple places. your appointment will last till what ... 2, at least.... maybe then you can eat something. have an icecream or slushie if it's hot. then howabout a park (read you book under nice shady tree). or if you want indoors, howabout the library or a B&N. you will just need to leave early enough to drive to the airport and get to the arrival gate.... sounds better to me than a double long round trip, no?
