Dear Pammie

i hope you all feel better soon!

i confess i'm kinda glad you "inherited" that patch... that's kinda your band, after all... i'm sure Jackie will love it if you get him some patches he can see, with his favorite bands.

but now, you'll just HAVE to buy that denim jacket so you can wear that patch!

Sigh... i haven't owned a denim jacket in ????? ... i'd love one too.

Personally I believe Jackie Knew it should be his mother's Patch.

And instead of just saying that as my Derrick would.

He just said, NO he didn't want it. Because he knew like I would,
That his mom would fight him.

LOL! I checked again and he said "Oh no!" when I held up his jacket and showed him the area it would go in IF he wanted it on his jacket. It was so cute I had to stifle a laugh. LOL!!! "Oh no!" Too funny! Like it would deface his jacket to have a patch like that on the back. Oh well, glad they had at least ONE for ME to enjoy, and you're right waves, I have to buy a denim jacket now. I am hoping to score one in the thrift store already broken in but if not I am looking at others online. Part of me thinks I should get a vest, not sure, because we're in FL after all, and only get to wear jackets like 3 months or so out of the year. Not sure, but this one is looking like a winner:

Or maybe this jacket:

Not sure yet. It's so nice to be here with all of my dear friends. You all make me feel validated, I can't tell you how MUCH that means. I'll try not to be such a stranger, I kind of get overwhelmed by all the threads I have no hope of ever catching up on, but that won't keep me away. I know you all understand that and probably fight that feeling yourselves. Anyway, Jackie is almost over this stomach bug and I don't think I caught it as bad, so I am almost over it too. THANK GOODNESS It's fast moving!

Don't worry about catching up with threads...we are just glad to see you and that you seem to be doing so well.

Dear Pam,
Either vest or jacket looks good.
I really like the pink lavender on the model. I think peach is more my color but it doesn't look good in the picture.

The vest is good because you can wear it more often. We don't really have three months of winter here where I am. Some years we only have about 8 days spread out from Dec to Feb. . . .The vest could be more comfortable in general. . . it depends. Either way, you;ll have something you like and can enjoy.

I think it's just 'that time of the month' coming on, it's too low in my gut to be stomach issues anymore. I think probiotics are awesome though. Thanks for the recommendation bizi!

I am going to do the traditional denim color but I am really leaning towards a vest. I think I would get more use out of a vest, so that's probably what I will end up buying. So you get about 8 days?? I am more northern obviously, we get more like 2-3 months worth of jacket time, kiddo has already worn his jacket, not the jean one, to school twice. He insisted.

I can't wait for the back patch to get here!

Pam

Suggestion, Buy the vest online. Then if you happen to locate a jean jacket at a second hand store that you really like. You can always pick it up too.

In my area we would wear the Jean Jacket a lot more. I need a jacket a lot
right now. But I would wear a vest and jacket at the same time.

That's a great idea, the only thing is I am wearing an old jean jacket, a large that doesn't fit worth a darn, and I am having second thoughts about going with a vest. Not sure what I will end up going with, I am kinda tempted to get this one I found that would be shipped for 22 bucks NEW, size 2XL but it's WHITE denim. The patch would look awesome on it I think, but I am not sure I would really LIKE It in the long run. So I have decided to go to the thrift store and look and see what I find then decide, on if I want the white one or not. Have to think about it. I could get that vest for about the same shipped and I am tempted to get it, but what bothers me on that is sizing, I read reviews that talked about it being too big. Oh well, they don't do returns on items under 25 bucks so I'd be out of luck if it didn't fit well enough. Still thinking about what to do, but I think I am leaning towards doing what you suggested Donna. Thanks everyone for caring! Life's little triumphs are better shared.
