Dear Bobby

it must have been cool to have the folks at the Center tell you they missed you. I am so glad you started going there. Now you are part of a group there who cares about you and values you.

Glad you got the jury duty thing sorted out too. Good job calling them!

love

Red face Bizi / anyone interested, regarding microwave

i never suggested microwaved foods were the worst of all evils i know very well that charred foods are cancerogenous and deepfried foods are horrible for health (esp when ppl reuse the frying oil). we don't char and hardly ever deep fry anything. there is no shortage of other "traditional" methods using simple pots and pans...

According to that article there is much still to learn about what microwaving does to food, and what that food does to us longterm, besides destroying more nutrients than "traditional" heating (which includes steaming, boiling, convection ovens, regular baking, saute'ing, braising, etc etc etc....)

when i feel better i will look for the link if interested. who knows maybe it was old info or whatever. i was looking for info on residual radiation and came across that one by accident.

The people at the senior center have become accustomed to you and miss when you are gone. It is nice that they appreciate you.

i wonder of us find jury duty really stressful. i hope his office helps you. my table really is a nice group of mostly depressed lol people. because we are mostly depressed we don't have to talk about it and can talk about other things. i think it bonds us.

it was. at first i think i was paranoid calling the jury place. i didn't follow through on the thinking about the worse thing that could happen. i needed my friend to tell me it would be their fault if they lost the original letter.
how are you feeling?

HI,
I can make a list about why jury duty is stressful:
1 we start in the early morning
2 I have to drive across town to an unfamiliar partking garage.
3 I have to follow lots of rules about dress code, what I am allowed to bring, what rooms I am allowed to use
4 The court workers get snappy when people do not follow what seems to them to be simple rules
5 I have to deal with people in this unusual environment
6 Lawyers and cops make me nervous
7 The buildings and rooms themselves are designed to be intimidating
8 The last time I was in court was a few months after 9-11 to decide on a case involving someone being on the wrong side of the air port. The judge asked people if they felt too upset about 9-11 to stay on the jury. I stayed. But the defense lawyer asked me if I was more likely to believe cops then not believe cops. I said that cops lie. I told the truth and got to go home but I felt wrung out.

Dear Bobby

thanks for asking. mostly feeling really spent. i have been navigating migraines as well as this virus. keeping up with the pills of each has been a challenge too. hopefully today will be the last day for the migraines, tomorrow at latest. as for the virus, i think i started the echinacea just in time so it didn't hit bad.

i have been thinking about you. how are you doing?

love
