I encourage you to do what ever you set your mind to doing. I can't have any alcohol in the house so I don't buy any.Give away your wine to friends or family members if that is appropriate., that is if you have any left.
I have been watching eating the wheat, pasta, potatoes eating mosltly meats and veggies, nuts. I eat at a health food store for a big lunch m-f and a sensible dinner, don't eat breakfast. works for me.
drinking a tea as i try to wake up this morning.

Thanks Bizi, I haven't made wine in years so I didn't have to get rid of any. I don't keep liquor in the house either. Too much temptation. Did you find the wheat thing helpful? My friend swears by it. Take care.

Dear ms manic,
I stay away from the breads and such for lower carb intake but some days I have bulgar wheat in kebe or lentils in soups etc. I find it easy to stay away from the breads, just don't buy any...I also stay away from processed foods, or rather non food items(junk). Today I had spinach and lentil soup with chicken in it. creamed turnips and eggplant casserole with grass feed ground beef. I eat at a health food store for lunch during the week. I just bought some tabouli made with quinoa(instead of cracked wheat) that is delicious!
I am trying to not snack...and drinking plenty of no calorie fluids.

Halloween came the candy...I rationalized Well I can't drink so I will just eat these toostie rolls as many as I could eat, hubby found 11 wrappers under my chair that I was sitting on outside while passing out candy. they were the small ones. But still I used it as a reward for not drinking...sigh and I have been following a low carb diet....today is a new day.

yeah the halloween candy is gone!
mine is hidden for next year or for hubby who digs them out he loves tootsie roles.
I just wanted to state this clearly here.
I am not drinking because I proved to myself that alcohol interfers with my meds. I became manic from all of the drinking. Today is day 56 with out drinking and i have lost 8 pounds so far.
