Di,

I would also like to know how you are doing. I am doing better. Has the bad weather cleared up by you yet?

Heart Wow

It is great to be missed and loved! You all are wonderful friends.

We, again, had to dig out of snow and the pressure system is just leaving us today. We had a foot on Valentine's day, 13 inches on St Patrick's day, and this last storm of almost three days was 14 inches when all said and done.

I had work Wed and Thurs....my supervisor actually told me when we were leaving last night that she was glad I was back, and she missed me.
I was so happy to hear that reassurance. I had myself in a tizzle that I would face hostility. So glad that is not the case.

Nikko, I wish I could even dream of being in the pool! LOL
We may hit 70 by the weekend or Monday! Wow a heat wave!

A real blessing to feeling down is to come on the forum and see friends keeping in touch with each other.

I think about you all everyday, and often have tons to post and fall asleep before I get to all the post.

My biggest challange is the spring cleanup is the begining of May and I have to go through my daughters things. A whole home to empty out. I go in often, there were many Angel's, doll's, and the food in the fridge I wanted to take care of. Only the electric is on so it has been far too cold to do any work.

Her tree is still up....everything is off it but the lights she did not get to before she was hospitalized. I can't believe it is now three months, seems like just days ago.

So I have challanges, I also am rich with friends and support.
I love you all here dearly
di

Di - is there someone you could enlist to help you in going through her things? That doesn't sound like something that you should be doing alone....I wish I were closer, I would come and help you in a heartbeat! Anyway, a girlfriend or a kind, friendly person that you know from church or work, or somewhere! I'm not even sure it should be someone in your imediate family - I don't think that's even a good idea. If you come up empty, is there an organization locally that might help yoou out, and you can donate some of her things to them? Just a thought....

Three months does go by fast. So do the years. My Mom passed away in Feb '03, and my Dad, who is 86, still lives alone in the house where I grew up. Last time we were there, my sister and I went upstairs and we were looking through some old Christmas stuff, as my Dad had asked us to. We laughed and laughed about some of the things, and about some of the memories it brought back! In our case, four years had gone by. Three months is still too soon, if time isn't an issue, I would wait until you feel ready to face all those memories that will come flooding back to you!

Hugs, Jacquie

Red face Hi Gang

I had been in there little bits of time. It will sure be more difficult spending long periods and the permance hitting me.

I have my daughter in law, she is a butt kicker to organize and get through things too. She and my son will eventually build on the lot where the mobile home is. With the weather nice this weekend we will take the tree down so that Deb knows how to put it up this Christmas, they need one anyway.

I had a time line on me becasue of the free community cleanup. But, in all, the entire trailer will have to be torn down for the new home to be built. My grandma, dad after my parents divorce all lived there...it is very, very old. A one bedroom that is only 100+ feet away so it was so close to allow De her personal space and close enough for me with caring for her...

There are tons of clothes, minimal furniture. A lot of videos, most things like dishes pots, and food are just going out in clean up. Nothing worth even a yard sale.

Some of the most difficult will be the pictures, highschool stuff and outfits I picture her wearing.

The clothes, gosh she has tons all over, on the bed are bags full, in the closet thrown, the dresser drawers and just thrown in the corners. I bet a dozen yard size bags full. I know she has barrowed so many of my things so I do have to go through them all.

I recently found out several checks were issued to her that she was to reimburse me for forwarded funds....she cashed them and acted like they never came. i was really counting on them.

Nothing of any value but her car. She smashed the windows in the car so it will be difficult to sell unless I fix them. It has been sitting since 2001...1995 Mercury Capri convertable. It is a mess, lucky to get $1,000.

I am still sorting through feelings, emotions, and trying to figure out who was this child of mine?

I still forget sometimes...I saw a microwave heating pack, a stuffed Kitty. I thought Oh, de will love this! For the brief moment. I do that a lot, a slip so fleeting.
Sorry to ramble, tough to make sense of the loss, her life, our life without her..
Thanks for all the support
Di

Go easy, you sure have a lot to deal with, baby steps as they say.

Glad you have some help with all this too.

Thinking of you always.
