Oh Di,
What a story. Sending you some soft hugs. I can't shovel anymore.

I am not one that can stand on snow and ice either. So its not like I
can go anywhere if the others don't do it.

It was my husband, and he gets like that and we all duck.

Its just him at times. It always has been. And people wonder where
my oldest got his temperament.

UGh, But its life. And one day it will the snow turn to sunshine.
I refuse to think of rain.

(we got hit again, I just hope it is stopping soon.)

Ugh. Schools at least in my area are closed today. Not everywhere.

Many are sending home early, after going late. They wont get
to count their day.

We were supposed to close today.

Donna,

That is a night mare -- going to school late, coming home early, AND THEN HAVING ALL THAT COUNT AS A SNOW DAYT?????

How are they going to make up all the days?

No clue, I have no idea yet. How they will.

They are talking about Saturdays, or adding 1 hour to the day and 6 days makes a week.

Or going spring break. Now I am against that completely. Lots of families
have plans for that. And its not fair to just think they can
change them. Its not their fault this is happening.

Some schools are set up on computers completely and can go elining.

So we will see.

Donna,

That is so confusing -- to have all these options and to have all these things unsettled.

I am guessing that the schools are going to comply exactly with state law to be open a certain number of days but they will give parents and students a lot of leeway to be absent on days that would usually be holidays -- like spring break.

The schools will follow the letter of the law but be lax about students following the attendance rules.

Temperatures 20°F below normal will likely invade the Upper Midwest on Sunday, and gradually spread southeastwards during the week.
The peak cold is predicted to occur late next week, with temperatures 20 - 35° below normal covering much of the eastern 2/3 of the country.
As a result of these new model runs, the natural gas market has been soaring ever since early this morning, and is now approaching a five-year high of $6.

Thank you Mari. Oh,that looks cold. Poor Di,and Donna. One more OH. Oh the cabin fever affect. Our poor cars have salt on most of them. It's bad for the clear coat, paint, and underneath the car. Pot holes, and tires out of alignment. Be carful around those pot holes. Oh me. BF:hug::hug::hug:

No its not allowed next week. I am to get to South Bend safely on
Monday. I didn't schedule a hotel for Sunday night. Ugh.

Am I going to regret it. I can't read this thing.

I am not a happy camper right now. I refuse to get stuck at home,
on my vacation. Its just not happening.
