I am sorry if what I said wasn't helpful. Moreover, if I misunderstood your situation or if what I said felt offensive to you, then I apologize. Don't think that I (and indeed, WE, here) don't care about you because WE DO.

I didn't spend a week on my message, granted, but I put a good bit of time and earnest though into it. Why? Because I care and I hoped to provide alternative insights, perhaps even to help prevent a clash with a person you obviously held dear enough to spend a week on a letter for them.

I really am sorry the message was not useful. I will try to remember to avoid getting into things like that again, since it sounds like my words had a negative (if any) effect on you - the exact opposite of what I had wished for.
