Oh dear, Bobby,

Risperidone/Risperdal needs a really slow taper. !

My son was prescribed it for his tics and other stuff when he was young.
Horrid drug. Very hard for him to get off without noticing side-effects.

What dose are you regularly taking, Bobby?

I went overboard and bought a tablet cutter and used to just shave bits off.
He was on a really low dose too, and still felt it badly. ugh

Somewhere on these forums is a list of places to get meds if you can't afford it. I think that's what it is. I'll go hunting for it now and write back...

I found the old link in Medications forum.

I'm not sure if any of the links still work but I'll post this thread here.

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread13042.html

A lot of those links don't work, but some do.

Johnson and Johnson (Janssen Pharmaceutica)
they make Risperdal and have a download for assistance application.

Bobby,

How did today go?

I am sorry you are having all these worries and that the meds don't seem to be helping enough.

When is your next appointment? Perhaps he can add a second antidepressant to the Wellbutrin. I can't remember if you've ever taken an SSRI -- they are helpful for anxiety management.

The risperdal does help with that. You know this. If you don't take it, it can get worse.

love

Lara, Bizi, et al:

It sounded to me like Bobby just skipped one dose in a moment of down in the dumpness. I kinda doubt she'd go off them. She's reduced before and she does know the meds.

Dear Bobby Please be careful. When you've been medicated for a long time, you wonder if the medications are working,or hurting you.

At one time I tapered off of one medication that I was taking. I tapered off this medication for months taking a very tiny piece of the pill. I suddenly had a setback out of town. My friends brought me home to my parents house when they were living. They called the doctor, and the doctor put me back on my medication, and I felt better, but I still was going through a terrible setback with panic attacks. I was thinking that I could have had heart problems, because I was in such physical pain from the anxiety. I went through more then six months of this extreme set back. It(fear/anxiety/depression-and fealings of rejection) kept happening over, and over.

Then after a while I started feeling better. I went back to work after about a year after it started.

If you are diagnosed with a mental health illness, please take your medications. I know that every one is different. I'm just saying please be careful.

The news is so bad,and everything is negative on TV,and these things can take a toll on our nerves, and strength. Try to get as much rest as you can. Sleep is very important in this time, and try to get as much sleep as you can.

This is my opinion, and advice. I hope that you feel better Bobby. BF

I skipped a dose of my medication this morning before I saw my councilor, and I had a OCD thought (attack)my emotions over a thought that scared me.

Before I did any thinking on the subject,I raced to take my medications. In the process,I forgot that thought that almost freaked me out. BF

Hi, Bobby,

Tennis is good.
Tired and dull -- can you get out? Find some tasks you have to do?

I hope that your day goes well today.
