Came home from work and hubby was at a rehearsal and then going to a concert.
I ate chicken salad for dinner.
at 6 pm I plunkered down at the computer and was going to get on line and do my thing. but knew that I was trying to change my computer usage....using it as a reward. So I got up and went to my desk and made out a deposit which took about an hour. I was going to break down then and have a cider and not go to the gym but I had already stated that I was going to the gym so I did not want to let anyone down, so I was accountable to you guys.
And went to the gym.

My clients daughter was there when I got there and we started talking, she is very up set with the staff at the assisted living facility that her dad lives in.
So we talked about about 20 minutes and I knew that I wanted to walk on the tred mill so I started my machine and so did she and we walked and talked at the same time.
When I hear about my clients/others not being treated well I get upset. I am going to talk with my friend who is the care giver of the elders/owners of the place. Ask her opinion of what she thinks of how I should respond.
sigh
I finished walking an hour which was very hard to do. I watched the ferguson news reports after the hearing results were announced. I was surprised by the results. Am afraid there will be riots now.
sigh
anyway, came home and now can sit on the computer and make my rounds of forums, facebook, blogs, emails etc.
I have the urge to drink, asked jeff if he wanted to watch a rerun of downton abby, he said no he was ready to go to bed. So I will wrap this up and get ready for bed myself.

11-1 DD don't remember what I drank, sigh
11-2 AF
11-3 AF
11-4 AF
11-5 DD 3 pints in 90 minutes
11-6 AF 3.5 miles on tred mill
11-7 mod wine and beer tasting
11-8 DD 3 pints beers and 2 wines, walked a 10 k with girl friend 6.4 miles in 1 hour 32 minutes, came home and drank later that evening then blacked out....sigh
11-9 DD 5 beers
11-10 DD 3 large margaritas on the rocks in 90 minutes
11-11 DD 3- 10oz 8% ciders (equivalent to 5- 4% beers)
11-12 DD 3-10 oz 8% ciders ditto above (started having cold symptoms)
11-13 AF
11-14 AF
11-15 AF
11-16 AF
11-17 AF
11-18 AF
11-19 AF
11-20 mod....2 samples of beers and 1 pint of 6.5% beer=1.5 regular beers
11-21 AF
11-22 AF
11-23 AF it has been 15 days since my 10k, have not walked since. But I have been sickly so that was a good weeks worth of not walking. . I plan on walking tomorrow.
11-24 AF walked 3.5 mph for one hour! Hard to complete and my feet are sore.

11-24 AF walked 3.5 mph for one hour! Hard to complete and my feet are sore.I did walk last night and resisted the urge to drink.
I am going to look at drinking at home as lazy. So that will help me to avoid drinking at home. I do have half a case of ciders in my refrigerator. Not sure what to do with them, they remind me that I should not drink them, that I drink too many when I have just one they go down fast!

Bizi,

Can you just keep one cider in the refrigerator, and keep the others in a warmish place so they are not ready to drink? I don't know... maybe that could help you just have one, or at least slow down the drinking pace? You know, put a little speed bump on that slippery slope that is alcohol overindulgence?

I know, I've had beer with ice before. I've also drunk warm beer before, if iit wasn't too warm, and the other thing I do is put it in the freezer. But all of these things are less agreeable than having a perfectly cold beer ready to guzzle and another right behind it. Having to deal with ice or warm stuff is ugh. Waiting for the freezer is a PITA -- I set an alarm because I've forgotten and had them explode.

Mostly what I do, or try to do, is when I take one out I put another back in, so it gets cold while I drink the one... but often I forget. Ha.

All speed bumps. A lot of little speed bumps. No magic.
