good that your leg is healing and have fun grocery shopping!
sorry for the mail delay....:( soon come... bizi |
No letter today either :(
I woke up this morning (at 6am as usual) and was sure my letter found it's way into someone else's box by accident, so I went to check to see if they left it by the mailboxes for me. Of course it wasn't there. I'm fixated. My husband thinks it's really unusual it hasn't arrived yet, too. I think it probably did end up in one of my neighbor's mailboxes and they decided not to be very neighborly. If it doesn't arrive by tomorrow, I'm going to call the NH DMV and ask them to send another one out because that's more than enough time for it to get here… it should have taken 2 days. I'm not going to drive myself crazy waiting for something that's never going to come. OMG the parking lot at the grocery store was a nightmare yesterday!!! My husband made me wait in the car for a few minutes until he thought it was safe for me to get out and walk to the store. There must be at least 2 accidents in that parking lot a day on good days. That's part of the reason why my husband doesn't like me walking to that plaza, but I don't have to walk in the parking lot at all when I do. |
i didn't understand your last sentence. so frustrating about the mail

I think she was reffering to when she walks there from her home.

Those folks can send a letter out, but go ahead and double check that they have your address 100% correct. We were missing mail from an IRS office because the address hubby gave out over the phone was transcribed with mistakes. M |

Sure hope it comes soon. Donna :grouphug: |
I called mid-way through last week to check that the DMV had sent the letter to the correct address, and they had.
The way things have gone throughout this whole process is, if something can go wrong, it will. It would be great to find the letter in my mailbox today, but I doubt it would be there. It's taken so long, something must have gone awry. I'm not going to wait until after the mail comes at 2:30 to find out. I hope if I call and ask for them to send me another letter before noon, they won't give me any **** about it, and it will go out with the morning mail. If the letter does arrive today, no harm done. The plaza is usually quiet in the morning during the week which is when I've walked over there. When I used to do the food shopping, I would take a couple of small trips on weekday mornings when things were quiet. My husband wants to continue to do the food shopping with me when I start driving again. IDK why. Because he works, we have to go at the worst times and he's absolutely miserable. I'd rather go by myself when I can do it in a more relaxed atmosphere and I'm under less pressure from him to get things done so fast. I can leave the heavy bags in the trunk for him to bring in like I used to. |
This sounds like a plan although you may just want to wait.
I sent a check to my yard guy that arrived 2 weeks late. The mail sometimes does lose things. have a good day irregardless. bizi |
It's not like there was a check, and the DMV had to pay to cancel it. It's not a big deal for them to send out another piece of paper, but it is a big deal for me to have to wait an unspecified period of time for a letter that has the power to get me my license back to arrive. I've waited long enough. I called yesterday and they're sending out another letter.
Yesterday I found a mail forwarding sticker with my name on it stuck to the back of our mailbox where our name tag should be. I moved back here a year and a half ago, so I don't know why it was there, and I've never noticed it before. I haven't had any other mail issues for a while now, but maybe something went wrong there… different mailman? We also didn't get any mail for 2 days last week, which is rare. I wonder if other mail went MIA? I removed the sticker and taped up a post-it with our names on it. I hope I can get to the DMV Friday. The driving record I have is only good until the 15th (Sunday). The hearings officer I saw when I went last time didn't want to see it, but that doesn't mean they won't want to the next time. It's supposed to be a requirement to get your license restored. I mailed a request for an updated one, but it won't arrive until the middle of next week at the earliest. I can't see myself taking a trip to the DMV without an up to date driving record, knowing there's a 50/50 chance I'll spend big bucks for a cab and wait 3 hrs only to be turned away. So even when I get the clearance letter, I may end up waiting around for something else. I'm tired of all the road blocks and delays. At this point, I've just completely lost patience with, and definitely faith in, this whole process. I'm a mess of anxiety, anger, and frustration. Right now I feel like this **** is never going to end, and I'm never going to get my license back. |
