how does one fit 17 beers in ones stomach?

I was exhausted after bringing in all the groceries and putting them away. I napped for a couple of hours afterwards.

My husband got home early from work and drank from 2-7:30pm Friday, but he doesn't always spread it out that much. All that beer doesn't stay in the stomach. It's liquid, so he urinates frequently, but not as often as you'd think.

I don't know how much he drank last night, but he finished off the rest of the 30-pack, walked to the store, bought a 24-pack, and got into that.

i guess it is good that he did not drive and walked instead....

The liquor store is in the plaza that I've mentioned I've walked to a couple of times. It's close by and takes him no time to walk there. Nevertheless, it was 90 degrees out and I'm sure driving was tempting, so walking was a good decision.

My husband got lured into doing yard work for his stepfather yesterday (but he was only there for 4 hours this time) and may go out with his mother today (and that usually turns into an all day affair). I was looking forward to spending time with him this weekend, so I'm disappointed. He drinks when he sees them, and in the evenings in general, so I'll miss a lot of sober time with him.

He had already started drinking by the time he got home around 3pm. I decided not to take my regular nap because I wanted to spend more time with him, but being overtired and dealing with three days of his very heavy drinking wore on me and I was very irritable. He was in bed by 9.

My mother-in-law wanted my husband to take her to the cemetery today. It's raining, so I hope that means they won't go out. But there's always the chance she'll want to go out to lunch instead. When he took her out to lunch on Mother's Day, he left at 11am and got home at 6pm.

He hasn't taken me out anywhere in years. I'm not exaggerating.

I am sorry Kay.:(

Tell me what the perfect going out date would be for you.:)

Really, going out anywhere would be nice… out to lunch or dinner somewhere and have a nice conversation. I'm not too picky.

I just remembered we usually go on vacation once a year and go out to eat then, so I guess he has taken me out, but otherwise he hasn't. We won't be vacationing this year though because we're broke.

Because of the rain, my husband got out of going to the cemetery and stayed home yesterday :)
We watched a couple of movies. He drank, but stayed relatively sober. I had to take a nap, so I wasn't irritable. It was a pleasant day.

I'm pretty excited right now because I got to the laundry room first this morning :)
There are 30 apartments in my building and there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers in the laundry room. If I don't arrive first, trying to do laundry can turn into an all day affair.
I still have a set of sheets and towels to wash, and my quilt hasn't been washed in forever. I'm considering shoving all of that into a big black garbage bag and dragging it to the laundromat sometime this week. I'll have to put it all in the bag to see if moving it is manageable for me first.

I have a couple of quick errands to run today. I'll have to get them done early because it's going to be HOT again. Fortunately, it's supposed to cool off after today though.

We have a big comforter on the spare bed that the cats call home and is a fur magnet. So occasionally I will take it tothe laundry place and have to load it in the big washer, it is expensive and I hate to go there.
oh well, hoping that you can mange it all by yourself.
please be careful.
you are precious.

Thank you Bizi (((HUGS)))

I miss the days when I could haul all the wash to the laundromat… 1 day, a couple of hours, and done. Back then I was superwoman…

It's June first, so I'm going to start recording my morning weight and the time I spend on the exercise bike. I'm not setting a numerical goal for myself because I don't know what to expect. My goal is to get on the bike 5 days a week, try to increase the time I spend on it daily, and see what happens. I'm also going to start reducing portion sizes. I think that will help a lot. It has in the past.

After I get off the bike, I'll rest to get my see legs back, and get in the shower to get ready to go to the club. I really don't want to work in the business unit. My cognitive issues are more glaring there. It's difficult and embarrassing for me. Last time I was given something to do that required me to do math, which isn't my strong suit to begin with (I did have a calculator). It should have taken 10 minutes but it took me 20 because of all my checking, checking, checking. I hope I get to work in the kitchen again. I'm hoping to get there around 9:30am. I'll stay for lunch if my stomach is cooperating.

I was hoping to get my grocery shopping done Friday, like last week, but we're expecting heavy rain. So, I guess I'll be doing it tomorrow. I always have a hard time coming up with new things to make each week. I ask my husband what he wants, but he's no help. I may hit the butcher shop first to see what looks good.

Friday may be a good day to go to the laundromat…. I guess it depends on just how heavy the rain is.

Good morning kay!
hope the rains aren't too bad.
Could you just ask to work in the kitchen?

have a good day!
