I am thankful that you shared more of your experiences with your sleeep issues.
these sound horrible.
forgive me but are you taking the risperdol at night? or before you try to sleep I mean.

The Risperdal does not help with sleep. It is activating.

THat is why the doc gave me Lunesta.

is the ritalin activating too?

Ritalin!

Today hubby is watching tv at his buddy's.

I took 10 mg of the short acting Ritalin.

A few hours later I noticed that I was
1 Agitated
2 Nauseated

Yuck! And so frustrated.
I made some rice and hummus (from the grocery store) for my stomach and that seemed to help.
I called a friend who reminded me to take something for the anxiety. The
approximately 0.33 Klonopin is helping.:)

=-=-=
Hubby is in charge of cooking rice around here but he is not home.:(
I was too anxious to figure out rice cooker instructions from the internet and hubby
was not answering his phone, so I called Mom.
She READ from her rice cooker instructions: 1 cup rice; 1 1/3 cups water.:)

Adding the hummus at the end was genius because it was delicious.:In-Lurve:

A few mins ago, I emailed pdoc about what happened and my
plan
to
1 completely skip the Ritalin Monday
2 go to half pill of Ritalin Tuesday

=-=-=-=-=-=-=

This is what pdoc emailed today in response to my query last night if my plan was o.k.:

Yes, it is ok. Try to keep it in the morning

Do you have to take the two meds around the same time?

I'm glad that the 1/3mg of klonopin has been helping you.

Mari 09-05-2016 04:29 PM

Ideally I only eat twice a day: 6:00 p.m. and then again later in the evening

A few years ago I found diet that worked for for me -- a version of the 18:6.
Most days I do 16:8

18:6 diet (a.k.a LeanGains) - Does it REALLY work? - Women's Health & Fitness

“Studies have shown that weight loss as a result of fasting is just as good as regular portion control and healthy eating.”
I do not like breakfast and I have ZERO time to eat at work so I eat after
6:00 p.m. on work-days and non-work days.

Until about a year ago, I was very happy with this meal timing because it helped me eat fewer daily calories overall.
Then summer 2015 I was triggered and my life went haywire.
Now my life is more settled with the new pdoc and new tdoc but
the Resperdal requires food at times that I do not feel like eating.

I especially hate having to eat rice in the middle of the day to deal with stomach upset due to Ritalin or whatever med of the week
is causing a problem.

I am not in a good food routine.
Everything is a mess and my life has felt chaotic since July with new pdoc.

SO VERY CONFUSING -- life is better AND worse with new pdoc.:confused::confused::confused:

what about a granola bar or a lara bar? (lara bars are about 200 calories and fruits and nuts...I think they are really good.)
you could eat that and drive?
Would that help some how?
sorry for the confusion.....

I'm glad that in some ways your life feels more settled now with your new pdoc and tdoc, but I'm sorry that you've had to make changes to your routine that have left you feeling that life is chaotic.

I completely understand how things can be better AND worse at the same time. I hate all the trade offs we have to make

I hope it becomes easier to adjust to your new routine :hug::hug:

How have you been sleeping?

Mari 09-07-2016 10:04 AM

stopping the lunesta

Side effects I experience from Lunesta that I can handle:
  • leg cramps in the morning
  • bitter taste in my mouth throughout the day

Side effects I experience from Lunesta that I cannot handle:
  • grinding teeth

I already wear a mouth guard at night.
The Lunesta is going to wear down my teeth.
This morning the teeth were so painful that I could barely touch the toothbrush
to them to brush my teeth.

I sleep with the Lunesta.
It works but I am going to stop it.
I do not know what to do next.

Pdoc might be getting tired of all the issues that I have with side effects.
