I'm glad that you got some sleep

I hope that you get to the office easily, and that the Ritalin works out for you. I can understand wanting her to observe the effects first hand. It makes perfect sense to me.

I just hop it doesn't make you too sleepy to drive

Good luck at your appointment today

Ritalin. And pdoc appt

I told pdoc that I had not been taking the meds.

I took the half dose of Ritalin once (on a weekend) and slept for two hours.

A few hours before seeing her I took the other half pill of Ritalin.

I actually arrived safely and on time.

I was on the office for five minutes. She talked about sleep and other stuff
that did not matter to me. I was laughing and focusing on keeping
the water from my rain coat off of her carpet and furniture.

Later in the day, I noticed that Ritalin apparently had improved by mood as well as my focus.

So annoyed.

I took meds. Went to bed. Did not feel sleepy.
Considered that I did not take the Lexapro but it is hard to forget because it has a bitter taste.

Finally got out of bed to take more Lexapro and Klonopin.
I hope I wake up on time for the things I have to take care of.:(

I'm glad that you saw some really positive results from the Ritalin.

I hope that forgetting the Lexapro was all that was keeping you awake, and you were able to get some sleep

tired and angry

Today was the worst day in a very long time. So very very tired.
People commented on how sleepy I looked.

I am at a point where I cannot fake it anymore. I forgot a document
and other things went screwy.

=-=-=-=-=
I told my sister that after the pdoc gets the meds a little more straightened out, I am moving to someone else with more empathy for my sleep issues.

1. Yesterday she said stupid stuff about eventually decreasing Klonopin --- a med I have loved and depended on since the early 1990s.

2. She also said something about herself. It is better if pdocs do not reveal stuff.
She was giving me advice that she felt was related to something she experienced ----- MY SITUATION IS NOT RELATED to the nonsense
she was talking about.

oh mari, am so sorry that she is not working out. my pdoc wanted me off klonipin because I drink and we had the trazadone disaster but did get down to .5mg so she was happy.
I would be very upset with her if she would not let me have the .5mg now.
I do have a stash of 1mg tabs for when I really need them.

ugh about school.
I am so very sorry for your sleep issues. Wish...so wish that you could find the magic pill.:(
Have you ever tried hypnosis, like as self hypnosis?
(((((((((HUGS)))))))))

Have you ever tried seroquel? lots of people take that for sleep.

The self hypnosis does not work because I experience hallucinations that freak me out.

She initially gave me Seroquel. It caused massive sleepiness in the daytime.
It did not come in a liquid for low dosing so she switched to liquid resperdal.

The life long sleep problems are partially related to the audible and visual
hallucinations that I experience when falling asleep or upon awakening.

I have coped by developing work arounds to sleeping without seeing things ---
mostly by staying awake until I drop on the sofa with the tv, sleepign with lights on,. . . . sleeping with music (I stopped the music months ago due to a trigger,. . . . . .

To say that yesterday was the "worst day in a vary long time" is saying it was pretty ****ing horrible… I'm so sorry… I'm so sorry you have to go through all that you do in general :hug::hug:

I share your concern about pdocs revealing things about their private lives. I don't think it's professional, and it's gotten out of hand and shifted the focus away from my needs as a patient in the past. I also HATE it when people try to make comparisons that are in no way related to what I'm going through (it happens a lot re:MS), and then try to give me advice based on that crap. So, combining the two scenarios would make me a pretty unhappy camper, too

Lots of pdocs are big on cutting back on benzo's, but I don't see the rationale of her even thinking about bringing the issue up right now since you aren't at the place where you need to be on other meds, and you are still struggling with sleep issues she's supposed to be treating.

I'm glad that you were able to talk to your sister. You know what you need better than anyone else. If I remember correctly, you had a fairly recent insurance change, so you have more pdoc options out there when you're ready for a switch.

What will you be taking for meds in the meantime?

I hope you got some sleep, and today is a much better day for you today, Mari
