I'm glad that you took Pudge to the vet so she can get that infection taken care of. I hope that it helped you feel more comfortable about not seeing her poop… cats can be very secretive about that

I hope that lady will cancel the check and send you another one. You can tell her to subtract the cancellation fee from the bank from it, and maybe she will be more willing to do it… ?

she wasn't upset about the check. she canceled it in the afternoon. I didn't hyperventilate. she is my best friend. she isn't rich but unlike me she didn't think it was that much.
I am so relieved about Pudge. anothermfriend now much thick i am totally nuts that pudge planned the whole thing to be sneaky about going. I knew it was illogical for her not to go for three months and i was crazy to mention it-i couldn't even tell my psychiatrist. Since the stroke i have had some crazy throught that i don't want to tell anyone. My spelling is awful. I can't remember words. since i stood in line for voting my legs really hurt and i have had to use the cane off and on. Off and on I have been suffering severe severe depression which i won't tell my pdoc. I am takiiing cecilia ouut for her birthday. I am getting together with two close friends wwho live out of town on tuesday. I go to the doctor this morning. I ate a lot of lean cuisnie and halo top and didn't realize how much sodium was in them and last night i had chinese food so my blood pressure is going to be so high.

I'm glad that your friend didn't have a problem canceling the check for you… anything that makes life easier, right?

I think I go too far sometimes by giving my cats human traits and thinking they think like we do. I think a lot of pet parents do that at times.

I think it's best that you tell your pdoc about the thoughts that you are having. I can understand that you may be embarrassed by them, but there may be something that he can do to help you. Since these symptoms are new, they may be due to the stroke, or secondary to the depression that you continue to suffer from. Maybe an increase in your Doxepin would help. It's best to be honest so that you can get the best treatment and hopefully see an improvement in your symptoms. Please talk to your pdoc

I can understand the fatigue you have been feeling
I won't wear TED stockings, but if I know I will be standing for a while, I will wear nylons that are at least one size too small so that my legs aren't as sore afterwards.
I'm sorry that you have had to use the cane lately. It is a very difficult adjustment.
I will say some good words for you that the other symptoms of the stroke improve

It sounds like you are going to be a busy lady! I hope that your social engagements will lift your spirits a little
Make sure you get as must rest as you can between engagements

my pdoc is just a pill dispenser. it is as if i didn't have a stroke even when i go with a cane. he is good about animals so we have a connection. it is so hard to find a pdoc in manhattan. some you have to pay and then you get reinbursed.
a lot don't take medicare. I don't want him to know how sick i am. I am afraid he will drop me. He is sweet.
what are ted stockings?

Red face

TED stockings are a type of support hose. You usually need a prescription for them and then you have to be measured to fit you properly. They provide good support if you have swollen legs...or if you just want support.

A pdoc won't drop you because you are too sick. If that were true, I wouldn't be able to find one. You wouldn't believe the things that I have had to tell mine… but I tell her because I have to stay safe, and I need treatment. She doesn't judge me because it's her job and she's probably heard worse. If you're not doing well, a pdoc is more likely to ask you to come more often than drop you.

I thought you liked your pdoc? What happened to your relationship?

I'm sorry that it's so hard to find a pdoc in Manhattan. It's open enrollment until December 7th. Maybe you could find another plan that has more pdocs in your network for next year? Maybe you would be more comfortable seeing a woman?

A lot of the nurses I worked with wore TED stockings because they helped with the aches and pains from being on their feet all day. I got in the habit of doing so myself and found it helped. They're also commonly prescribed to prevent blood clots and promote better circulation in the legs.

you don't know my doctor. I have medicare and arrp so i can use any medicare doctor in medicare. I spent two whole days trying to find a doctor. I didn't want to use a hospital that my last doctor recommended when he dropped me.
I don't want it to happen again. this guy just wants to give pills. if he waanted to talk he would have asked about my stroke and a lot of other things like my sister's death. he doesn't want to deal with that. you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out.

to change the subject i really like the song hallelujah by leonard cohen. also remember i was a psychologist and i have very good intuition

He was a great songwriter.
