I waited 5 hours last night for the SuPrep laxative to work, and... NOTHING!!!
So, I ended up taking 2 bottles of mag. citrate before I went to bed, knowing that this morning's dose of SuPrep would not be enough to clean me out. I do not regret it because I started going to the BR as soon as I woke up this morning at 5am. I don't know if the SuPrep I started taking at 6am is helping at all or not.

I made sure I hydrated myself really well before I had to stop drinking fluids. I don't want to be in rough shape when I show up.

The endoscopy center called to ask me to come in early... like at 8:30!
My appointment is scheduled for 12:15pm, but I have to be there an hour early. I will be taking that time to give myself my best chance to clean out. If I keep going to the BR like this, I should be okay (knock on wood).

Corey just decided to take a shower. He better be quick. We only have one bathroom.

I forgot to mention two things:

1) I was able to change my PCP to the new one I wanted to online. Hopefully that request went through successfully.

2) I got the results of the blood tests he ordered. My eGFR went down another 3 points. That's 9 points down since September :(

what an ordeal, hopefully you got cleaned out enough for them to be able to visualize your colon.
keep us posted.

My colonoscopy was normal! :):):)
And my gastro said I prepped myself perfectly. I'm proud of that because I was pretty much on my own the whole way there.
They gave me Propofol, so I don't remember anything. I was home in less than 3 hours! Then I ate chicken nuggets from McDonald's and slept for 4 1/2 hours.

Afterward the colonoscopy, I asked my gastro about the hernia/prolapse of my sigmoid colon. He didn't see any evidence of it on the colonoscopy, but he's going to order a test (don't remember the name) where I will take a pill with tracers and have X-Rays to see if they get hung up in that area. If they do, he said he would recommend removing that section of the colon, which is something I obviously wouldn't rush into.

The exam did show I have a redundant sigmoid colon, which just means it's longer than it should be. It's no big deal, but it could be contributing to the constipation.

I have to do laundry today, and there is a lot of it, since I couldn't squeeze it in last week because I lost two days due to that mother of a snow storm.

that is so great about the results and it is over with!

Oh another set of tests.
I hope you get some answers.
glad that the colonoscopy is behind you now.
