We got to kokomo and back. But I'm so glad I left before i had planned.
Something just said, you have to go home.

I got in to a big snow storm in Lafayette, but then even worse my way.
I think I took 1 1/2 hours or more to get home, usually 1/2 hour or so from Derrick's. I did make one small stop so that was a little of it.

But I drove 35 to 40 all the way on the highway, and had white out time.

I have been out only twice in the last 5 days, I think it is. From friday to
today. I had to make sure my vehicle would go.

I need to go to town tomorrow and then friday. So lets hope the weather
gets to 14 tomorrow, but then its cold again. Sunday we take Derrick
to Muncie, so glad even for snow that its supposed to be 31 I think.

Yes, its awful somedays. I've been in the better weather, just over 5 to 7
today. Which is nice.

Okay, we have had some real fun issues this last week.

First some of our pipes burst, or something. Dale got them
fixed, but he can't figure out what is wrong with our Washer,
yesterday before we left to take Derrick, he decided it might
be a pipe not the washer.

We got to Muncie the other side of the state, and my middle
son Devin called they had many pipes bust. Of course he
had no clue what to do. But my husband called one of our
friends who helps with his rentals. And he went down to
see if he could shut off the water. And help them. They
ended up having to call the city and have someone come
find the shut off. Not sure how they are doing today.

THen this morning Kortni lets me know at least on of their
pipes busted early this morning or something. And she
is still trying to unfreeze the pipe for the washer. I knew
last week it froze. So luckily she has a friend that is like
their handyman. He is coming to see if he can fix the problems.

I'll post an update on Harmony hopefully soon. She is going for
her 1 year shots hopefully today. And they will get update on
the Staph infection. But I'm pretty sure until after surgery I wont
see her except in pictures.

Derrick is happy as a clam in Muncie. He got their, and honestly
was trying to get rid of us. But we got things set up a little.
And I got his money left in a lock box. And last night on
their facebook page, Erskine Green Institute Training was
his picture and his roommate.

I really think they are well matched. Really wish we could
have found this kind of roommate for our area. But part
of it is that the program has some real good restrictions on
their rooms. So the issues he had before can't happen.

I'm sorry for everybody's bad luck with frozen and/or busted pipes... I know that can be a really terrible situation :hug::hug::hug:

I'm so glad that Derrick is adjusting well to his environment and he has a good roommate he's getting along with. I hope this turns out to be a wonderful expereince for him that he really enjoys :)

I really hope that Harmony's staph infection has cleared up/or will clearing up :hug::hug::hug:

I'm sorry I have forgotten, but when is your surgery, Donna?

My surgery is supposed to be January 23rd. I'm stating supposed to
be because I know this time its going to be according to whether
I can keep yeast infection out or down were its doable.

I'm not setting myself up for unhappiness this way. I'm going
to as time gets closer be more anxious that it wont happen
And I know that.

Derrick called me once on Tuesday, think he wanted to check on
Dobey. Then yesterday he had a really bad day. He called once
to say hi I believe. Then about 5 to 10 minutes later after lunch
back in class texted he was calling he needed to talk to me. So
I waited till he did. He had a friend that he needed told not
to text during classes. He says, I can accept you and Shannon
my friend that is his provider here. That handles things when
I can't. But tell Chris not till after class. Then proceeded to
state what one of the issues was he wanted.

Then later about 2 or 3 hours later. He called, I could tell
he was better. I think he mainly wanted to reassure me. And
he hadn't gone out in community. And was thinking of
going to bed early. Not even 9 o'clock yet. Incouraged that.

Then about 5 to 10 minutes later, he was calling again. Really
upset he thought he had broken something in the shower. He
new he would be responsible for cost if it was bad. I was pretty
sure it wasn't what they were talking about. He had just taken
a shower and something fell apart. Turned out something
with calking came lose. He had called front desk while I was
on phone. And asked them to send someone up. Explaining
to them it needed okayed then. Or he wouldn't sleep.

So then his roommate returned from community time. And
he was trying to explain on to him. And his roommate was
trying to reassure him. Of course no staff was around. But
maintance came and reassured him it was fine. And asked
both boys to not take showers till it was fixed the next day.

So he was so stressed and upset. I worried all night I'd get
phone call about seizure. But none.

He is hopefully okay now.

Okay about weather, we are getting ready to get new big snow amounts.
If one report is true, anywhere from 5 to 20 inches. The one I like
though is that we are having bad weather and sleet and things
in morning, then maybe little rain and snow. And cold weather.

Which is upsetting finally got over 20 and into the 40's today.
So its going back down.

Of course I have doctors and hospital tomorrow.

Ugh, hoping I can get there okay.

P.S. Two sets of pipes set. And one still being worked on. The
one with no water. Harmony is trying to cut a second tooth.
