I know nothing about the military diet but maybe you need to figure
out how to at least take your lunch one day a week. Maybe
that would help you.

No clue if it would or not.

now jeff has decided he is not going to do the military diet.
He is going to do a 2 day fast of 500 calories.
He read some negative info about the military diet so he is against it now.
sigh

500 calories a day is not a lot for a grown man... keep an eye on him.
And 2 day diet of any kind is not going to do much, and any kind of weight he does lose will be hard to keep off, especially if he continues to drink.

Do you still plan on doing the military diet? The calorie counting sounds like a real PITA, and now you don't have a partner for support...
There are other diets out there that must be easier to follow if you are interested. Maybe someone on the forum has some ideas?

I'm sorry that you are so depressed about your weight right now
I hope that the needle on the scale starts going in the right direction for you

Sorry about the loss of the partner for the military diet.

I still have no clue what it is.

I am kind of stuck it seems on 205 or so. I thought I had finally
gotten to 200. But then my body seems to like 205 and stays
there. But that is with really lightweight shoes which I do realize
is a little weight. But its depressing because I'm trying to get
under 200, and I'm just not really doing it.

I've not really been doing any diet because I do better just watching
what I eat.

Now I have to share something my sister posted on line about a week
ago. she was posting her wedding picture with her weight then. It
was about 350 because of medicines and things. But her husband
and her both worked to lose weight and the doctor changed their meds.
And her one medicine added was topamax. And she started losing.
The one other thing that she changed on her own was she would eat
only 1/2 of her entries eating out. And take the other half home for
the next meal. I am so proud of her, but kind of sad for me. She
has lost 150 pounds and weighs less than me now. Wow, it seems
so weird to say that. And honestly when we are together you wouldn't
know it. Her build is a lot different than mine so she still looks bigger
than me. So in my case it makes me wonder if it makes a difference.

But I degressed, and I hope no one minds my telling you her story. I'm
just very proud of them both. They are my sister and her husband that
are both bi-polar. They have done a very good job getting back to being
healthy weights.

congratulations to your family!
it is a long road and no quick fix for us.
I would like to believe there was a magic pill. I would spend great money for this if there was.
bizi...who is 40 pounds overweight.
want to go to the gym and walk on the tred mill but have had too much to drink to safely go there 1 mile away.
don't want to take a chance and get a DWI, that would ruin my life.
I have not been on the computer that much since I am some what depressed.

Remember its one day at a time. So take it and start tomorrow.

When it starts getting cooler outside do what I've been doing
and go start walking in your neighborhood again. I try to walk
a couple blocks a day. If I get out and walk more than that
I feel I'm doing great.

well so much for not being on the computer much. I have been on here 4 straight hours. the last 30minutes have chatted with a man who is sober for 15 months. I am going to start posting again on the HAMS sight again. harm reduction.
They promote abstaining or moderating to prevent harm to others and self.
I used to frequent there in 2016 quite a bit. I went there tonight and found 2 of the posters from that time recently start back up again. So that is support right there.
