I don't think I am going to follow through on the injections. I am so stressed out at the thought of getting the injections. I will try to lower the cholesterol through holistic methods. I don't think I will change my mind. I will use garlic and fish oil and maybe red wine or the ingredient in it that helps. I am so stressed. It can raise blood sugar and I am prediabetic. It is too much stress for a bipolar person.
6 Proven Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar

How does alcohol help the heart?
Various studies have shown that moderate amounts of all types of alcohol benefit your heart, not just alcohol found in red wine. It's thought that alcohol:

Raises HDL (healthy) cholesterol
Reduces the formation of blood clots
Helps prevent artery damage caused by high levels of LDL (harmful) cholesterol
May improve the function of the layer of cells that line your blood vessels (endothelium)

While it's been known for years that the use of atypical antipsychotic medications is associated with various cardiovascular side effects, researchers still don't have a clear picture of how these drugs might lead to such risk factors as weight gain, diabetes and high cholesterol.

I just bought 15 bottles of red wine from splash wines for 90 dollars and garlic supplements. I have fish oil

I don't know why you aren't using the pills for the cholesterol. Maybe you
have told us. But I honestly don't remember. I used to take one, and
then some how one day my cholesterol just came down and I didn't need
it anymore. No clue how. Hoping your red wine and other things
work.

Bobby,

I thought that you would have to make the injections using a regular syringe- THAT would be hard, BUT using a pen should be very easy. Cecilia should be able to do it in a matter of seconds after she preps the area with alcohol. Then it's over with. No big deal. You could probably do it yourself. I wouldn't dismiss the idea of doing the injections just yet. I would think about it a little more because the pen is so easy to use. Maybe do some more digging about the potential benefits and side effects of it on the internet?

I'm glad that your doctor switched one of your medications because one of the side effects is increased appetite. I have never heard of aplenzin, but I hope it works the way it is supposed to, and your appetite decreases.

I know from experience that some anti-psychotics/atypicals can cause rapid and significant weight gain, along with a boat load of other potential nasty side effects. I know that the Seroquel I take can lead to diabetes, but I didn't know about the cardiovascular side effects.

Did you order more wine in addition to the wine you already bought, or were you referring to the wine you already have? Have you had some already, or have you just been hanging onto it and thinking about drinking some so far?

I'm sorry you have not felt like eating much. How is your stomach feeling?
I have been trying to eat more fruit too because I'm not good about eating during the day. I bought some beautiful oranges the last time I went to the store. I don't know what kind they are tho.

I wish you were sleeping better :hug::hug:
What is your sleeping pattern like?

mymorgy 01-09-2019 02:00 PM

I read on the internet that it stings and some other things. Injections scare me if not administered by a professional besides side effects.I called up the doctor's office to say it was too stressful. My stomach is better but I am so constipated ugh. My lower back has given me pain since the p.t. My sleeping is wretched and I too have trouble walking. I started with my recumbent bicycle yesterday and two day- five minutes and six minutes. after today my back felt a little looser. I spent almost an hour talking with my friend in israel who has breast cancer. she is having such a very hard time with a bad prognosis. I felt so drained afterwards. a pen sounds infinitely easier than a regular needle but I just don't like the whole idea after I read what you wrote.
I hope you didn't give yourself another concussion. You do too much. Please be careful and take better care of yourself. I have a lot of the white wine left but decided to also order red wine.
love

I am so angry at myself. If I had walked the halls and rode the bike I wouldn't be in such bad shape. Now I have to start from zero. I am angry at myself for catastrophizing over sticking a pen injection into me. I am listening to the musical Chess which I saw two or three times. I love the music so I am definitely in a mixed up mood, rats

Bobby

Just start slowly walking in the hall. And a little on the bike. And do
as much a day as you can. Or that means daily.

Just keep up with that routine. You can handle this.

Bobby, the pen could be easier for you.
