I always have either one of my son's or my husband lift the bottles of water. You can ask the staff at the store to lift the water. If I have to get it with no one with me then I have someone else help me. i get it that way. I never lift it because I would hurt myself. Donna :hug::grouphug: |
I think you will be happy with it, Bobby :)
Don't worry about it being blue, it's not when it's applied, and didn't stain Corey's shirt. Even though I have been handicapped for almost a decade now, I still have a hard time asking for/accepting help. I don't know why I'm like that. I do injure myself a lot because I don't. But I think part of that messed up stubborn mentality of needing/wanting to do things myself is what has kept me going for so long. Corey was buying cases of water at the corner store for $8! :eek: I think it's ridiculous to to pay that kind of money when you can get it at the supermarket for less than $3, but forget about trying to get him to go there to get it. Even though we aren't experiencing black/brown water problems right now (I didn't write about the last incident), we aren't drinking the water here anymore. If you fill up a glass, you can see particles in it before they settle, and we don't have confidence that our Brita can filter that s-, so bottled water it is from now on.The cats have noticed the difference. They are drinking A LOT more since the change. That should tell you something. Apparently we are not alone. The shelves in the bottled water aisle were almost bare when I went to the store Friday. |
yuck about your water!

I think it is because you were never nurtured but was the nurturer

Remember though that its part of their job to help with the bottled water. And other things that need to be done. So please start asking for help. You can always say thank you. Gosh I've had to ask other customer's to get things off top shelves for me. And that isn't honestly any different to me than the bottled water. So please start asking. Even when the things on the bottom shelves are in the way back sometimes I have to ask someone to please get it for me. Because I cant bend that far down, or whatever you want to call it. I always feel really silly when I have to say something to ask someone for that but its much better than me being on the ground and can't get up. Donna :hug::grouphug: |
Kay I think the blue emu worked on my knee. Thank you so much!

I hope you are alright kay?

Don't worry, I'm okay, Bizi :hug::hug::hug:
I just didn't have the time to read or post yesterday. I'm so happy it helped you, Bobby! :) I tried the it on my elbow last night and it worked really well, really fast! That s- is awesome! I plan on trying it on my shoulder for my rotator cuff problem soon. No, I wasn't nurtured. My family was never like that, but I was born and bred to be. I took care of my mother at the end of her life, took care of my grandmothers, and helped raise my younger bother. I ended up choosing to become a home health aide, then a CNA, and went to nursing school... I have learned how to take better care of myself, but only over the last couple of years. I know how to ask for help. I do know better than to do some of the things I do. If someone is around, I will ask, but I will not go out of my way. Many people are surprised that I'm still doing my grocery shopping, and I've heard more than once that I shouldn't be doing it myself... That's why I want to try Stop and Shop's pick up service. I won't have to walk through the store, and they will put the groceries in the trunk of the car for me. I see the surgeon this afternoon about a possible biopsy of my swollen lymph node(s). I really don't have much confidence that he will do it because even though they are wide spread, they aren't huge. I have a feeling he will question why my PCP didn't do certain things before sending me to him, but IDK. I guess I will see. I'm running late because I had to return a pressing email this morning. It takes me a LONG time to read and write, so I won't be able to read or post today. I have to try to get some housework done before my appointment... I'm sorry :grouphug: |
