I'm sorry about your AC, Bizi. That really s's. I remember that you have had it worked on before, and it was expensive. It's nice to have a car you own outright, but if you have to keep pumping money into it, it may be time for a new one (especially if it still has a high trade-in value)? How much do they want from you now?
I woke up before 6am yesterday. I'm glad that Corey decided we wren't doing laundry because I was exhausted and didn't feel well. I needed a nap early, and it ended up being a 6 hour one! I guess I need a lot of sleep lately. I have definitely come down from my manic episode. Maybe that's why. I didn't take a shower yesterday. I didn't even brush my teeth... not like me. I woke up kinda early this morning, so I hope I can hang in there for the birthday party later today. I'm looking forward to seeing some people I haven't seen in a long time, including the birthday boy's wife, who's a living doll. One of Corey's friends, who's a sober alcoholic like me, is hitching a ride with us. So, he can drive back if I'm too tired. It's nice to have another non-drinker there, too. I still haven't decided what I'm wearing for a top. I have a lot of time to decide, but will have to choose something before I break out the iron for my pants. I also need to go to CVS to buy a birthday card, and will buy a heating pad while I'm there. |

If I see him hanging around like that again, I will call the cops, not the management here. I don't care if he is a neighbor or not. He has no business on my patio... f'ing creepy. |
I hope you enjoy your party!

I said to myself, "F' IT," and just wore jeans to the party. I found a nice enough top in the closet, wore my hair down, put on a little makeup, and I looked okay. It turned out that nobody was dressed up, so I was happy and relieved I didn't bother stepping outside my comfort zone, aside from wearing my hair down, which I hate doing.
I had a really nice time! It was so nice to see the birthday boy, Rob, and his wife, Maureen. I can't believe how much their daughters have grown up since I last saw them. They are beautiful young ladies now! I got to sit next to Maureen and across from the girls, and enjoyed our conversations. I wish I could see Maureen more often. I hadn't seen many of the people there in years, so it was really good to see them again. It was like no time had passed, and we all fit back in together seamlessly. We spent some time reminiscing about our past antics, which was a lot of laughs! So, yes, I had a lot of fun! :) The food was really good, but Rob ordered WAY too much. I wouldn't take any home tho cuz we already have leftover lasagna and steak burritos in the fridge. Rob intended on paying for everything, but I slipped $40 in Maureen's back pocket. I think maybe I should have given her $50? IDK. He must have spent a fortune. I spent about $10 less on my new heating pad than I did on Corey's, but I like mine better. The controls are different, but I really don't understand why his was more expensive, or why I decided to buy it vs. other ones. Honestly, I could have bought a POS, and just would have been happy to have my own. I'm going to have my hair cut and colored today. It's long overdo. My roots are really showing, and my hair is SOOOO long. I'll have to have at least 2" cut off. It will be nice to see Joanie, but she's going to give me s- about not getting my hair done sooner  But I was busy!!! |
Kay
I'm so glad you had a great time. I wouldn't have thought to tuck money in her pocket book or any where else. Glad you did. Even if the birthday boy refuses to take it. She can spend it on the kids or herself. I'm so glad also you had such fun talking and visiting. That is always fun too. I hope you let Joanie know that you just had to move and things so coming to have hair done in the middle wasn't an option. You would rather have done that. :grouphug::hug: Donna |
I am so glad that you had a good time!!!!!!!
Maybe you could get together more often? Or even call to simply talk? I knew your clothes would not be a problem, most people really go causal these days, unless it is a funeral or a wedding. hugs to you today! hope you end up liking your heating pad. ((((((HUGS))))) bizi |
Glad to ready you enjoyed the party !!! :winky:

I ended up taking a 4 hour nap yesterday. It was SOOOOO HARD to get up. I have been sleeping a lot lately, and I haven't been feeling well.
I couldn't get my car inspected yesterday because they said that the picture of the car registration the dealership emailed me wasn't acceptable. So, I went home and went on the DMV website and paid $25 for a duplicate that I was able to print out immediately... I should have gone back out to get my inspection sticker and pick up Rocky's thyroid pills, but I needed that nap badly. I got my hair cut and colored yesterday. I hadn't been in for about 3 months. I was joking when I said Joanie would give me s-. I only had her cut off about 2" so I could put it up easily without waiting for it to grow out. I love the color :) While I was on the phone with my friend yesterday, something outside caught my attention... it was 6 little deer running along the tree line in the woods! They were so beautiful! What a view from my couch!!! :) Corey saw them the other day, too. We both must have missed the adults. The little ones wouldn't be running around out there alone. I'm getting my nails done today. I have a lot of other things to do, but I don't know how much I will get done. I may have to go to the doctor. IDK. I must get to the vet to get Rocky's pills tho. I just gave him his last one. |
