he does't take medicare anymore so he just does it for controlled substances-klonopin

Dmom3005 07-23-2019 03:56 PM

Bobby

I'm not sure how he is doing it. But here in Indiana the controlled substance has to be hand delivered to the pharmacy. So maybe he is having someone from his office hand deliver it too. That would make sense why he is charging for it to be delivered to pharmacy I would think. Because its not possible for you to go pick it up. If we have one written we have to go pick it up and take it to the pharmacy here .

his office faxes it

My psych doc told me I have to hand carry my controlled substance prescription (Klonopin) in to the pharmacy and show my ID as the pharmacy has to report to the FDA all controlled substances they dispense, or so this is what I have been told. My primary wrote the script recently for me and told me I have to hand carry it.

If your doctor can do this, then it's a sweet deal for you.

My Dr. faxes orders to pharmacy including klonipin

I took 18mg of melatonin
50mg of benadryl
100mg of hydroyzine (visteril)
I have restless legs and can't sleep.

Did your prescription expire or have no more refills and he's charging you this in lieu of an office visit?

I didn't think he could charge you this fee legally unless he does a face to face visit, to arbitrarily charge you $50.00 to write a prescription is questionable. But then I do not know your health insurance plan if they allow this. Usually standard of practice and qualify of care require a face to face.

Just some random thoughts for you Bobby. At least you are getting your prescription delivered to you tonight.

He can only give me klonopin once a month. since he went off medicare he is charging me 125 to see him and i when I see him he won't charge me fr the prescription. before I would see every month. Now it will be every three months.

I feel so awful. My stomach is really bothering me and right now I am depressed and wish I could cry. I am falling apart. I see the g.i. doctor at 11.

mymorgy 07-24-2019 06:16 AM

I am not depressed now. I just had a cup of coffee and went to the bathroom so my stomach feels so much better. I think it is all these f@#king pills that make me so constipated and bloated and gassy. I am sure I have IBS. The G.I. doctor gave me Linesse the last time but it didn't work. I will ask him for something else. I don't know if the yellow dock helps or not. I guess the ac is working. It finally turned itself off for a while.
bobby

mymorgy 07-24-2019 07:27 AM

I just freaked out. the bill said close to 300 dollars. I called the pharmacy and they said epic wouldn't cover that much because it is so expensive. I said I only want one month's supply then. I was ready to walk out the door with the medication and the pharmacist called said look at the register receipt. at first I couldn't find it but then when I did it said 20 dollars. He lied to me at first. f@#k him. On the first call i told him you f@#ked up.

According to the new rules, since Klonopin is a controlled substance, the pharmacy cannot dispense more than once a month. However, my psych doc prescribes 90 tablets of .5 mg every thirty days, so I can have extra in case I need more.

mymorgy 07-24-2019 03:45 PM

I don't think there are new rules. I have been on it for 14 years and the rules haven't changed in NY.
Went to the g.i. doctor who is so cute. He told me I have been overdosing on magnesium and that can be part of my stomach problems. I didn't realize how dangerous it was. My blood pressure was 120 over 80. He said it was perfect. I showed the cholesterol results I just took a couple of days ago and he said they were okay. No endoscopy yet. He wrote a new prescription for another laxative. I hope it works

Good blood pressure reading !!!

I have been on my controlled substance since the early 90's. I was told recently about the restriction in my state that pharmacies cannot dispense more than once in 30 days. Kaiser, that I used to belong in, stopped prescribing it (Klonopin).

Good luck with the laxative :)

I didn't have magnesium last night and I don't know if it was a coincidence but finally woke up without a stomach ache

Bobby ~ How many milligrams of Magnesium were you taking and why were you taking Magnesium?

That's great that you don't have nausea this morning !!

Blue

Dmom3005 07-25-2019 10:11 AM

Bobby

If the doctor said you were taking or your level was way to high
I'd not take it for quite a while. And then figure out if you even
need to take it.

Donna :grouphug::hug:

mymorgy 07-25-2019 10:23 AM

I used it for a laxative. i won't use it anymore. I have been waking up with a stomach ache but not nausea

mymorgy 07-25-2019 04:23 PM

I was given the wrong strength for aplenzin. Just took one and noticed two strengths higher. double checked with the pharmacy and they said that was the strength. I will call the psychiatrist tomorrow. I don't feel very well. I hope it isn't related to that.
bobby

mymorgy 07-25-2019 06:23 PM

the psychiatrist didn't call me back. I am going to ask him if I just cut the pill in half and that would be the right strength. I spilled the chamomile tea again. I keep on doing it. I put it on the floor to cool off and then I forget that is is there and knock into it. Yesterday I was in my bed and the phone rang. when I leaned to get it I fell off the bed. Now I am also hurting. Rats.
My stroke really f@#ked up my math. I think I did the arithmetic right. I got the highest score in my girl's school on the math test. When I applied for a programming job at a big drug company, the guy talked to my reference and kept on saying he never saw a test score that high and he kept on going on and on. Now it is so frustrating.
bobby

mymorgy 07-25-2019 06:31 PM

Do not chew, cut, or crush APLENZIN tablets. If you do the medicine will be released into your body too quickly. If this happens you may be more likely to get side effects including seizures. You must swallow the tablets whole.

Bobby ~ Can you call your doctor tomorrow morning and inquire about the strength being incorrect?

Blue

mymorgy 07-25-2019 07:17 PM

of course if the office is open. It is incorrect.

mymorgy 07-26-2019 06:49 AM

I slept more last night. I will call the doctor at nine. Since the medicine is so expensive I hope I don't have any trouble getting a new prescription at the same 20 dollars. The drug store has to order it so I will probbly run out Robert is coming over tonite to pick up 5 toys for danny. i Plan to read and not watch much msbc. The new laxative shouldn't start working for another two days. I am calling my g.i. doctor because it is loaded with sugar and I am diabetic. I got the syrup all over myself. My hand isn't steady.
bobby

mymorgy 07-26-2019 09:00 AM

can't reach the g.i. now and the pdoc not there but the woman taking the messages said she emailed him. My file said that donna wrote the wrong prescription. reached the g.i. doctor's office and told the secretary I was a diabetic and couldn't take the sugary laxative. She said the dr would call me back.

mymorgy 07-26-2019 09:34 AM

my g.i. doctor called me back and said it wasn't digested so it shouldn't affect my blood sugar. H said staart with one teaspoon

Bobby ~ Wow, so that's horrible you were dispensed the incorrect medication, no wonder you were not feeling right. They should call in the correct prescription. Good thing you caught this !!! If you don't hear back from them by mid-day (being Friday), call them back and keep calling until you get this straightened out.

Ask your pharmacist if you will not have to pay for this mistake.

mymorgy 07-26-2019 10:42 AM

it was the doctor's fault so I can't ask for a reinbursement(sp). The doctor is not there today.

Hoping the nurse you left the message with today can get thru to your prescribing doctor and correct the medication before the weekend.

Do you happen to have any of your original dosage left.

If so try taking it till you can get this corrected.

Bobby ~ How do you feel about doubling your medication? You mentioned you were feeling better, was this after you started taking the doubled medication?

Blue

mymorgy 07-26-2019 08:16 PM

I think I said that I wasn't depressed. I am sleep deprived and anxious and my stomach is off. I don't think I needed an increase in my antidepressant. also changes in medication don't work that fast.
