i asked my wonderful friend about being productive and she wrote

I think that whatever gets a person through life, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, is enough.

george soros is always attacked. he is 91 it gets me furious. there so many pathetic idiots and i don't know what to with my anger

Worth of George Soros
As of March 2021, he had a net worth of US$8.6 billion, having donated more than $32 billion to the Open Society Foundations, of which $15 billion have already been distributed, representing 64% of his original fortune. Forbes called him the "most generous giver" (in terms of percentage of net worth).

The Open Society Foundations act as a global advocate for justice systems and policing that treat everyone equally, and which reduce unnecessary and punitive use of incarceration. In the United States, this mission is particularly vital.

interesting

In 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, when this woman got pregnant her senior year in high school, the principal told her she would not be allowed to graduate. She begged the school to change its mind. It did, but there
were conditions. She was not allowed to talk to the other students. She was barred from eating in the cafeteria. She could not come to school more than five minutes in advance of the opening bell, and she had to leave school within five minutes of the closing bell. And she was not allowed to get her diploma onstage with the rest of the students.
She did marry the father of her child, but it lasted only a year. He was not a good husband and not a good father. After the divorce, he never had any contact whatsoever with his ex-wife and their son. A couple of years
later, she married a Cuban emigrant, a good and decent man. He adopted her son and gave him his name.
Many years later, in 2013, the biological father was operating a bicycle shop in California when a writer/reporter came by and asked if he could talk to him. That was when the biological father, Ted Jorgensen, found
out that his biological son is Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world.
Today, when Bezos exited the space capsule, the first person he hugged was his mother.

Dmom3005 01-28-2022 12:41 PM

Thanks Bobby

That is a neat story. And I think that was the norm when she was graduating from high school. Not that I think it was right. But I'm so glad
she not only graduated. But found a good guy for a husband and
dad for her son.

i have been going through a very terrifying time. i am also overeating and spending and now have started worrying that i am eating too much into my savings. I tend to overeat and overspend when i am anxious and depressed and want a high. i have to figure out if i need my supplement plan that costs 190 a month.. i usually have medical appointments twice a month. my dental costs are 1000 a year. I am buying cheap food. i do give Danny a lot of meat and treats because robert is so wonderful to me. I was really in crisis mode yesterday but caseworker unexpectedly called me and wound up calming me down. aaron called which was wonderful.

bizi 01-29-2022 10:06 AM

What about part 3 I have been hearing about that on tv, about if you are i a specific area code you might qualify for lots of good stuff for low income folks.
I think it is called the advantage plan. I am sorry you have been so suffering.
I have to get ready for my hair appointment then lunch at chris's and then 3 clients this after noon then a dinner party at 6pm.
hope you have an ok day today.
love bizi

mymorgy 01-29-2022 10:25 AM

right now i still have a lot in my savings so i can't qualify yet. i wish there were some way i can stop over spending and over eating. i was really in crisis mode before my caseworker called. i was so terrified and felt so helpless. i really don't know how to help control myself.
i forgot if i mentioned that aby gave me the biggest head bump yet.
i have just been listening over and over to a bocelli album.
even thought i stopped smoking a long time ago and didn't care about getting lung cancer i still really miss it big time because it would always calm me down. it is too expensive now.

Bobby, Some days ago you mentioned having met your new Psychiatrist and how lovely she was. I'm sorry to read that you're struggling so much and I wondered if you were at all disappointed in the fact there was no change to your meds. I vaguely recall that you were thinking they weren't working very well.
What do you mean when you say your supplement plan costs $190 per month? Do you mean vitamin type supplements or something else?

mymorgy 01-29-2022 04:30 PM

i told the psychiatrist i didn't want any changes to meds because of the two recent fiascos. i do like her.
i have to pay 50 a month besides my medications for a prescription insurance. i have to pay 190 a month as a supplement to my medicare. my social security is low.
fondly,
bobby

Lara 01-29-2022 04:57 PM

I understand now. Thanks for explaining.
I'm sorry that I asked such a personal question then. I thought you must have meant vitamin type supplements.

I used to pay for medical insurance for all my working life. Now that I'm not working I couldn't ever afford it. Now I just go public hospital system (and it's far from perfect that's for sure). Thankfully we have that or I don't know what I'd do. I don't know how you all manage over there. We have a totally different system of course.

Has it been snowing in NY?

take care there.

bizi 01-29-2022 11:56 PM

Did you look into the advantage program?
I am sorry that you are not able to control yourself from spending.

Did the exterminator get rid of your bugs? and the neighbors problem as well?

I am glad that you like your new pdoc.
She seems like a good fit.
Going to bed now. good night.

it has been snowing but not that much. here most people who work get insurance from their company. some people take low paying jobs just to get that insurance.
i think if you worked you can get medicare at 65. I was on disability because of bipolar and when i turned 65 it went to medicare.. there is medicaid for lower income people but i am not sure how it works. i think you pay out a lot less and get more benefits. i am not really sure but i will check.
fondly.

Medicaid costs are treated differently than Medicare. Unlike Medicare, Medicaid costs are not fixed, and are formulated based upon income and eligibility rules in states that offer Medicaid. Those costs can include premiums, deductibles, copays and coinsurance.

i didn't but i want my same doctors.i don't know about my neighbor but the exterminator is still coming once a week. I can get free food but I don't like it so i don't. I do get a big bag a week which even has chicken but i tend to throw that away. it is very good food but my stomach is weird. i could save a lot of money if i took advantage of all the free food. i never figured out if i really needed the supplemental plan. i just read that 40 percent of the population doesn't have a 1000 in case of heath emergency.

What is the Advantage program?
Government program assists low income adults who require nursing level of care remain in the community by helping to pay for home and community based services including: – Care management. – In-home care.

interesting. nice to know. i still have a lot of money but not the way i am going. it sounds like a great safety net. i feel relieved. thank you so very much. my rent is frozen.

Dmom3005 01-30-2022 01:53 PM

Both my son's are on medicare advantage. The main reason for
putting both on it were so that Derrick would have extra money
every year for dental and each year he could get a eye exam and
glasses. His Medicaid will only pay for a Eye exam every I believe
its 2 years. And new glasses every 5. I feel like he might need them
more than that.

Anyway, Dan had no dental or eye insurance. He has bad teeth
and was paying out of his own money for his teeth. SO this way
his insurance will pay for so much a year to get them taken care of.

He also needs new glasses we are waiting till the panadamedic gets
a little better to get his eyes and glasses.

i just called aarp advantage plan but i can't get the information til monday. three of my doctors and my dentist are in my network. my therapist and psychiatrist are not. i bet i can speak to my psychiatrist once a month. she is just for medication.
can't wait til tomorrow. i think i am missing something because it sounds too good to be true since i spend so much on health insurance and dental costs. i do get my glasses off the internet and supply them with my prescription. if it is true i wouldn't have to worry about running out of my savings money.

mymorgy 01-30-2022 02:38 PM

i just got mad. a couple of years ago i talked to some rep of i forgot what organization and he said i was on the best plans.

bizi 01-30-2022 06:12 PM

I don't know what the aarp advantage plan is,

the commercials just say medicare advantage.
It talks a lot about benefits like free this and that.
but you have to give them your zip code to see if you qualify.

bizi
I think it is a new plan.

mymorgy 01-30-2022 11:24 PM

i think i have to wait til oct to sign up.

last night was one of my worse nights. I wished I were dead. I had pains in my stomach all night and my back ached.
Joyce told me that I had to look my kitties in the eyes and tell them i will take care of them forever.

Dmom3005 01-31-2022 09:28 AM

Bobby

You may have been on the best plan a couple of years ago. It keeps
changing. The more that was know that the elderly were spending
there life savings to not only live, but save there life with just there
every day living if that makes sense. Such as to keep up with dental
care and eye glasses. And in some cases hearing aids and things like
that. The government and these different agencies started looking
into how they could help. Also make sure they look into whether
the can save you some money by paying you back the $145.00 a
month in SSI money that it takes or something like that to pay for the
program. Not don't quote me on that amount. I just know both
my sons program are paid for by a program in Indiana because they
qualify.

Donna :hug::grouphug:

Dmom3005 01-31-2022 09:30 AM

Bobby

They are still advertising the plan right now, so you shouldn't have
to wait till October. It might be either the first of March or April
but it shouldn't be much longer than that.

Donna

mymorgy 01-31-2022 10:52 AM

thank you. i don't qualify because i have too much money.
i just wasted almost an hour with aarp and being sent to different places to find out about advantage plan. i was disconnected so many times. i finally got the answer. i can't enroll til october but i won't. my therapist whom i talk to once a week isn't in the network so i would have to pay half the cost and aarp would pay the other half. Same with the psychiatrist. it would cost me more. medicare wouldn't pay anything.

mymorgy 01-31-2022 01:22 PM

i got into a good mood after the death though all last night. it just happened. i hate the mood swings. my stomach stopped hurting. looking forward to my therapist tomorrow and my other one on wednesday.. i wish i could help myself more.

Dmom3005 01-31-2022 06:34 PM

Bobby

Keep up the good work on making plans to have calls.

I haven't heard you talk about Marci in a while is she still coming.

Or has she stopped. I hope you keep doing well.

You have calls it sounds like on Tuesday and Wednesday see
if you can get some on the weekend. So you don't feel so
alone then.

Donna :hug::grouphug:

mymorgy 02-01-2022 01:47 AM

marci is still coming and i told her today she keeps me stable. there is no one to talk to on friday through sunday.
yesterrday was almost a disaster. my little devil aby took a huge leap where my computer is and i screamed. the computer went black and the key board and mouse landed on the floor. i don't think aby ever heard me scream before. she really startled me. finally i got the computer to work. later aby came over and bumped heads and cuddled.
i am going backwards with my p.t. i don't know what is wrong. i see the physical therapist today.
i ordered a big bag of jelly beans and dark chocolate and really want a cherry pie. so weak.
my little stocks did well today.
a friend called and said he had covid for five days with no symptoms. i forgot to ask him how he found out.
i guess i will be up all night.

Dmom3005 02-01-2022 10:56 AM

Bobby

I'm sorry Abs, did that. But after being up all not please try not
to sleep all day. That would kind of set you back with the sleeping
tonight. Also maybe you can start to call your friends on Friday-Sunday
maybe see if you can pick a friend to call each day. And see how they
are doing. Hopefully your weather will start to do better.

Donna :hug::grouphug:

mymorgy 02-01-2022 12:31 PM

why do you assume i sleep during the day/. then i wouldn't be sleep deprived i don't nap during the day except rarely. it is a real bummer. i do have friends but i usually don't have much to say so I don't usually call. I hate talking about my health. most steer clear of politics.

Dmom3005 02-01-2022 02:06 PM

Just making sure. I like to nap, but when I've had a night of
not sleeping that is a day I don't take a nap.

Just like I said, making sure.

Donna

mymorgy 02-01-2022 03:20 PM

i am always sleep deprived. no medication helps.

Lara 02-01-2022 03:44 PM

That's awful. Nothing much worse than chronic sleep deprivation. It affects how we feel all day everyday. Awful.
I have been like that but not lately thankfully. I still don't sleep well, but I do get some.

mymorgy 02-01-2022 04:47 PM

i am so sorry. i am glad you are getting more. i usually get about three hours.
fondly,
bobby

Lara 02-01-2022 05:04 PM

If you're only getting 3 hours in per night then there's no way you could be going through all the different stages of sleep necessary for good health.

Even waking up every 3 hours during a 7 hour night isn't ideal but very common as we get older I suppose.

I'm surprised your health practitioners haven't helped you more with this.

I had no idea you were only getting such a small amount. That's not right.

mymorgy 02-01-2022 07:46 PM

they have tried so many things. when i tried geodon the first day i got seven hours and the next i got 10 hours. then it stopped. here i thought i found the magic pill. i am not active and always tired. i do listen to a lot of music and until very recwntly read so many novels.

mymorgy 02-02-2022 03:30 AM

i usually wake up at 2;00 and go to sleep a little before 12. now have been searching for prescription cat food for my friend. read something really funny

5.0 out of 5 stars Changed my life
Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2021
I was skeptical about paying $150 for a three ounce can but this cat food has changed my life. I wake up and my cat has cleaned the house, got the mail, mowed the lawn and even made me breakfast. I am just blown away at the quality. I went ahead and placed an order for 20. Sure I can't pay rent but I'll be happy.

mymorgy 02-02-2022 03:33 AM

my volunteer sam wants to meet me in person. i warned him.

mymorgy 02-02-2022 07:01 AM

it is very good that you scared me

this time i finally went back to my bed and turned off the light and wound getting two more hours sleep. i guess that is what i have to start doing. usually i am ashamed to admit when i first wake up i make coffee. i didn't do it this time.. you scared me Lara. Thank you.
