Default Countdown........

This week is busy for me, yet not going by fast enough.

Monday I have to meet with the pre-op nurse at 2:30pm, Wednesday is the surgery, have to be there at 11am, surgery is 12:30pm.

I am starting to get stressed about it, and a bit nervous and I think my BP is kicking in as "leave me alone" like I don't feel like talking and just want to be alone, as far as people in my life, not any of you. It's like everything is just setting me off. The pain isn't helping either.

I sound like such a baby, but I hate being out of commission for any length of time. I have a post op appt. the following week. I still have no clue how I am getting there, I guess I will be doing cabs. UGH

I hope to be able to get the Bayada nurses/PT's to come to the house, since I will be housebound, because I won't be able to drive, Medicare will pay for that then 100%.

Hope everyone is having a good week. The only time I feel peaceful is when I am walking one of my dogs, just me and him and the mountains and the perfect warm weather at dawn or dusk.

Heart

((((((Nikko)))))),

Too bad we can't put a nurse's uniform on one of your doggies and smuggle him into the hospital as a nurse's assistant. I'll bet if everybody could take their pets to the hospital with them, they'd heal 10 times faster. Nothing like fur and LOVE to make everything better

I never pictured there being mountains out there. Guess that shows who paid attention during geography class

You know, Nikko, if love and respect and caring and HUGS could heal a person, you'd be healed as soon as your feet hit the street. Try not to worry too much. Calming music is supposed to help relax you. My son says classical musical calms him -- now THAT would be a major miracle

You're getting all the crap in your life out of the way this year. Next year is going to be absolutely wonderful for you. BELIEVE in that. BIG HUGS (and love).

I thin it normal for worrying to happen before facing surgery. It's going to be okay Nikko, we're all going to be here waiting when you get back and are able to post. We'll understand you won't be up to it right away and we'll be here for you when you're done with healing too. Hang in there, only a few days left.

Nikko

I am sending many positive waves. And I think you are one very strong
lady. I really think you will do just fine.

I'm here for you just as you and the others have been for me.

Thanks all......It's going to be done as an outpatient procedure, unless he finds more than expected. So, I should be home late next Wednesday afternoon. Which is good, because I don't want to be in the hospital.

Feeling better as far as the chest congestion, that Mucinex really works.
I still have it, but it is much better and I can tell it's going away.

I guess I am feeling this way because sooooooooooooooo many people have told me what a nightmare rotator cuff/shoulder surgery is, and how bad the pain is afterwards, and how long it takes to get your shoulder back, but with PT it should help.

Going to try and keep busy, if the pain doesn't do me in. The other day I had to take my mom to the Dr's and lifting her 4 wheel walker in and out of the car, plus I vacummed and washed the kitchen floor, well then yesterday, I spent most of it in bed, due to the pain from doing the things I did the day before.

Ok, enough of me complaining. Going to celebrate my birthday this weekend, since my surgery is the 10th, and my birthday is the 11th. Not in the mood, its just another day at this age......but what the hell.

Have a good Thursday, Hugs, Nikko
Sometimes there is no getting out of some things you have to do, as far as my mom's situation, and things around the house that drive me nuts if they aren't done.

yes it's painful *says my dad* but think about what it's going to buy you instead. You are going to get movement and some strength back. And that's a big deal. Very exciting if you think about it.

(I am trying to help you keep positive. Is it working yet? LOL)

Hang in there honey. Waiting and anticipation is the very most worst part of life if you are anxiety prone. HANG ON!

And your birthday IS a big deal. Cause you are worth it.
