Hi,
Two days ago I called the grand niece of my work friend who watched him while he was in the ICU. She said the hospital sent him home -- no one could find rehab that would take a psych patient. So now he is home, not eating, depressed, in bed all day according to her. His boyfriend makes breakfast and lunch and then goes to work. Crap. When I saw him a little over two weeks ago in the hospital he was cheerful and playful and chatty but not eating. By that time, he had lost ten pounds in his 5 1/2 weeks in the hospital. He was weak from being in the bed that long. He didn't even get physical therapy for walking. I'm so p'od about this. Now a nurse comes to the house everyday to give him a pain shot and take his blood pressure. I guess he cannot take his own pain meds after his accidental OD. The grand niece said that her mother (niece) wants him to come stay with her. But right now he is too fragile to even travel. God help him. No one else can it seems. M. |
