Hi, Meg,
My suggestion is that you get professional help. This is difficult to do on your own. Your college has lots of resources. Have you asked about them yet? Mari |

Be brave. Ask someone for help. Then ask someone else for help. People are hired and in their offices waiting for you. Mari |
dear Meg,
Everyone here wants to see you succeed. This is hard work for you to do...but you must be actively involved in this...you must be proactive. You can't be passive. Please ask for some help from your school counselors. There are people on campus there to help you...you just have to seek their help. Mari is right. Be brave and you can do this. sending you a hug of encouragement. ((((HUG)))) bizi |
Hi Meg
Would you like me to locate people on your campus for you to contact for help? All colleges have people in place for situations just like this. It really helps to have someone hold your hand and lead you in the right direction when you are unable to do it for yourself. I honestly wouldn't have made it through college otherwise. bizi and Mari are so right. Let the people put in place to help you actually help you! |
im hesitant to contact school counceling because i have a pdoc and they dont allow couneling for ppl with councelors already but i have a pdoc not a tdoc and i need a todc..i dunno. i went and saw my pdoc this morning because my diazapam was running low and i hadnt been for a while.
mike and i are back together and hes been REALLY helpful with everythng, hes really taken a huge step im proud of him. if only i could be proud of myself...:( |
There are many other forms help on campus. You dont have to get a counselor. And a pdoc is not a counselor. What that means is you can't see two different counselors at the same time. You aren't seeing one so that isn't an issue.
You need a ADA 504 plan put into place so you can have accomodations to help you succeed. Examples: 1. Extended time to turn in assignments. 2. Tutor provided free of charge to help you complete your assignments and get them turned in. 3. Absences that are DX related do not count against your grade. There are also support groups, peer to peer groups, and many other things. |
