You need a ADA 504 plan put into place so you can have accomodations to help you succeed. Examples:
1. Extended time to turn in assignments.
2. Tutor provided free of charge to help you complete your assignments and get them turned in.
3. Absences that are DX related do not count against your grade.

There are also support groups, peer to peer groups, and many other things.

im going to bring up the ada 504 plan to the councelor i emailed and im waiting for a response,

Good for you!!

I'm really excited to see that you wrote that email! College is 100% trying and overwhelming for anyone - and especially difficult when you have a disability on top of it. Like I said - it made it possible for me to graduate, and it will help you as well!

You can also look at your schools webpage to find out about the Office of Disabilities information (called various things at different colleges, but you should be able to spot it on the website. Holler if you need help.)

so i have good news:
i saw the school councelor.

and hes awesome. he specializes in anxiety and knows everything and is exactly what my pdoc isnt. the guy was so nice and helpful and even said to me if something happens where i cant take classes anymore, he'll personally take me on for a while or find me a therapist that im insured with. hes an all around awesome guy.

everything i was looking for that my pdoc wasnt doing.

i had an appointment with my pdoc yesterday and he perscribed me wellbutrin...yay another medication to remind me i cant handle stuff alone. but anywayyy

im dropping college writing cuz ive missed to much work and to much class time so im failing. so i wont have classes on tues and thursdays. but i had a job interview for a pharmacy tech job today at cvs pharmacy near my house and i hope that works out. organizing and filling perscriptions seems like it would help my anxiety alot.

im hoping i get the job, cuz they train you and theres lots of opportunities to advance your career with certifications and more training so thats good.

things at school are the only thing thats really that bad right now, im sucking in all my classes and its overwhelming cuz im so behind and i cant get caught up its like im digging the hole deeper and deeper and i just wanna give up. :/

i miss my neurotalk friends:(

i emailed the counselor about the ada 504 plan and he said I should talk to the disabilites office so I plan on emailing the head of that office.

i really need a little mp3 player cuz certain songs stop my anxiety and if im at school, or out i cant hear the specific songs and if i had an mp3 player or knew how to use the one on my phone it would help and i wouldnt need my meds all the time. (see alternatives to meds im thinking of )

i dunno how are all of you doing, i feel forgotten :(

Meg

If at all possible instead of emailing the head of that department.

Go make a appointment to see them. Its not something that
you can do with a email. You need them to help you get it
in writing.

the thingwith making an appointment is the easiest way would be by email cuz my school is split into two campuses so i dont know what campus the person would be on without emailing ahead and whone calls give me anxiety. so im gonna email and ask a day she'll be at the campus and then ill make an appointment.
