If you can't afford a heifer or a water buffalo you can get some goats. I think that this is a great way to do gifts for Christmas. You could still send home decorated cards or eat treats to a few special people. A few times a year, I send my parents a basket of organic fruit. They love it and I am off the hook for presents.
