Default Really confused, doctors or nurse practioners

Okay I'm really confused with these guys.

I went to the nurse practioner that I really liked back in either really late
October or really early November. After my procedures on October 16th.

I thought since the diarrhea was lots better that it was good. But the pain in the side was still bad. And I was waiting to see the surgeon a second
time, which reminds me I need to call that office. Even though I've decided
to get a second opinion anyone that takes over 2 months to decide to do anything is not good enough for me.

Well anyway last week I got a few calls from the nurse practioner, and when
I didn't return them right away. Because I didn't know. SHe had her nurse
call me. So when I finally figured it out. I returned the calls.

So here it is: First I have a appointment with the Gastronologist that
I was supposed to never see. On February 17th. Hmmm, how did that
happen. He dismissed me to my Other one.

Then I was asked about my abdominal issues. Well they are still there.
But I live with them most of the time, biting my lip when necessary.

I also make sure I don't get constipated. So thats life. I had never
had the 4 hour empting study, because it wasn't ordered.

Because the hospital wouldn't take the order I had.

So its been reordered now, for next week.

SO what to think, life is so fun, but at least I got this test before the
new year. I was just thinking how they wouldn't do this, this year.
And I had to start all test new next year.

You guys know how hard its been for me to talk to my husband Dale.

Well I got up my nerve last week to tell him how much is on the credit
cards. Or at least the two really big ones. $7,000.00

The two littler ones I really didn't know the total off the top. But
when he asked, and honestly it was almost 4 days later. He waited
to calm down and not be so upset. WOW

I knew the total I had called one and had received the other in the
mail. Which ends up being 700.00

I also have two store ones. That I have almost paid off less that 100.00

So anyway he hasn't decided what he will do. I asked for a loan to help
pay them. I really plan to give him back the money, unless he give
it to me and says don't worry about it.

We had some words about a couple of other things. Such as he has
this thing about going out and buying cars. While gosh, you can help
me pay off a credit card instead of buying a car. Its not like you shouldn't
be helping pay for Derrick's things.

He doesn't go most places with us. So unless I ask ahead, or take a check
from our joint check book. He doesn't.

Thanks, I hope I dont sound like I'm whinning

Sorry about your health and doctor issues. Bleaaaah. I hope they get you figured out soon.

I have a close friend who has been through so much this past year b/c of bowel issues. They thought it was Crohns, but it wasn't. They were going to do a bowel resection, but decided not to. Now her new gut Dr. said she has a grapefruit-sized tumor on her kidney causing problems. Sheesh! So I can appreciate a little of what you've been through.

I'm sorry your DH isn't more helpful. Let's pray he catches the Christmas spirit and helps you out instead of going to the nearest car dealership.

Dear Donna,

That's good that you are getting the test done soon.

I hope that the docs can ease your suffering.

Talking about husbands is fine -- it's not whining.
Maybe he is mellowing a bit about money.
I hope so.

Thanks Mari and Rochelle

I went to see my Nurse Practioner today at my primaries office. She was
great she ordered a test to check my gallbladder since the surgeon isn't
doing anything. Then we will decide about it. And a ultrasound for
the cyst on my ovary. And a Thyroid because I've always had a goiter
and it must have been pretty promenent today.

But that is fine. I'm just glad that she is taking care of these things
for me.

Dear Donna,

Those are important tests.
She sounds like she might be on top of things.

Donna,
How many tests do you have coming up?
I'm wondering how you keep track.

I can only have one or two appointments scheduled at a time because I get confused and anxious otherwise.

I've got four. But since I want them all done before the end of the
year I'm glad they are scheduled.

Wow Donna, I hope they are able to help you after they get these test results in. I know how hard it's been for you this year. Hang in there, it sounds like they are closing in on the reason why you feel so badly.
