Trig Major panic attack this afternoon

I don't want to trigger anyone.

I was laying in bed on my stomach and woke with a start and wasn't able to breath properly! I think it had to do with my boobs being underneath me pressing against my diaphragm. I got up and felt like I wasn't able to get a full breath and I immediately panicked. I could not breath right for a full ten minutes. It took taking a lorazepam for it to go away and for me to be able to breath fully. If I had had chest pain I would have gone to the hospital, but this was all about anxiety and breathing...

Have any of you ever had this kind of attack? I thought I was dying it was that scary!

Dear Pam,
That is awful.
I don't have any suggestions about what else might have been going on.
It does sound scary and I'm glad that you got yourself calmed back down.

Hello my turtle's friend friend !

Believe it or not, precisly last night, same thing happened to me !!!! Well, something very similar....

Well, I was sleeping and suddenly, started to "hear something", as I was very tired and sleepy, I thought I was dreaming and actually started to dream that I was in a concert listening to somebody with a very irritating voice singing very near my ears.... suddenly, I realized that noise wasnt in my dreams, but in reality and that it was coming from my lungs ! I woke up and realized I couldnt breathe and that I had a terrible cough.... It didnt stop and I looked in my mirror and I swear I was already purple/blue of my face... (mom say I wasnt).
Anyway, it took me 1 hour and a half to realize my lungs were full of spells/mucosa but I couldnt expel it !!!! So, fianlly I did.... but, like you, I was such in a panic attack... I couldnt breathe but I inmediately thought something was wrong with my heart and that that was causing problems with my lungs.... I thought I was going to die last night at 4:40 am.....
I was really scared.....

Sorry to hear you had a panic attack too !!! At least it was that....

Hope you are feeling better today. I feel exhausted.

Dear Majo,
That is scary.
I'm glad that you are all right.
Why do you think it happened when you were sleeping?

Hi Blue It sounds sort of like it was a nightmare, and you woke up,and it created a panic attack, and you where not fully awake for awhile.

Do you have allergies? I do. The pollen in the air might have something to do with it. Sometimes my lungs get sort of heavy with the annoyance of fear. Sometimes they get heavy when I have a allergy attack. Sometimes this developes into a anxiety attack.

Fears symptoms are so confusing sometimes. Some people put a rubber band on their rest and snap it,to divert their thoughts to the rubber band. I'm not saying that this is right for everyone. BF

Thanks for the concern everyone, I feel better today but I don't think I had the kind of attack Blue did, I am glad you were able to get rid of that mucous. I am sorry you had such an awful time last night. I think mine was partially due to physical pain (Back and hip which was why I was on my stomach to rest) and the sleep apnea I have.

I hope we all feel better soon. It's odd so many of us felt weird yesterday...

Hello everyone !!!!!

Today I still feel exhausted.... Gosh, I think that attack left me too tired.... and my body hurts.... my abdomen... my back... all that zone hurts and feel like inflammed.... I think it is due to the effort I did and the cough I had. Pathetic. I definetely need to go and ask "now what...." what else I have !

BF: Im definetely allergic to the pollen I too think it can be related to the attack I had... Hum.... My mother just read that to avoid the allergy to pollen, it is good to take a little spoon of honey... if it can be organic honey, better.... Have you tried that ???

I hope everyone is feeling better today and attacks free !!!

Hi Pam,
I am glad that today was a better day.
When I have an attack like that I have to remember to breath from the low tummy below the diagphram not from the chest. If I pant or try to get a breath I just can't. I litereally have to think outload, bread through my nose, slow down my breathing and it take it from the belly button. It takes a moment or so, but If I can get a focus it is so much better. Then I want a good cry for what I have gone through.

I hope that does not happen again

This evening I felt chapped with fear. The chapped part was the sting of fear. I don't know how to explain it,but it felt bad. I'm sorry that the three of us had fear problems this evening. No fun.

I've had the part where I would be having a hard time breathing,or I had a heavyness in my lungs, and it would take a half hour,or an hour to go away. It is related to fear I believe.

I took some medicine, had some celery, and had a salad. I hope that we all feel better. BF

I've also woke up with panic attacks. That is a scary thing, and I know exactly what that's like. That was about 18 years ago, when I was going through a real low time in my life. I would try to take a walk, and I felt so lost, and empty. BF
