Wow Mari that sucks! I can't believe someone had the nerve to do that! I wear mine on my lap so I don't worry much about it, but I know there are still purse/wallet snatchers in this day and age. Thanks for the heads up!

Hi waves!

Sorry you're having trouble with the new setup, definitely get some blank DVDs and burn your own recovery disk, in fact make TWO, Just in case one gets scratched up or gets corrupted, yes they do get weirded out and become unreadable even if there isn't a scratch on it, I had some cd's from like 2003 that give me errors when trying to access them and they refuse to be read, so I lost a bunch of stuff, nothing irreplacable, but annoying just the same.

Good luck with the downgrade to XP it should be fine once you've gotten the backup DVD burnt.

Hi Barbara,

Glad you're getting out this weekend, have fun at the art fair! Hope the weather holds out for it.

Hi Abbi,

Hope you have a great weekend too, and that your weather holds out for you to have some fun in the sun!

We are going out with Mom today and going to walmart, the library, Wendy's as always, and the pet shop to get Mr. T some feeder guppies. So we've got a full afternoon, doing some thrift store shopping too. Take care everyone and have a great weekend!

Abbie, I hope you will feel better.

Mari, that is so awful that someone tried to steal your wallet.

Pam, have fun today.

One of my neighbors called me at 9:30 a.m. but I did not answer it. I'm sure she wanted a ride to the liquor store and I'm not going to take her. I did not have to get up this early but the phone woke me up.

Hi all

I've been down under the weather. But I'm on the mend thanks to some help from my husband and the doctor.

My husband was nice enough to drive me in to the urgent center to see a doctor last night. I have bronchitis. And I'm on medicine for that.

I'm hoping to slow down on the coughing and things soon. I'm really hating
the timing though.

My mom called thursday to tell me she is having surgery on Monday,
double hernia. And I want to go. I will go, but because she gets sick
so easily I may not go near her. Just there to support.

My sister's will let her know I'm there and why she hasn't seen me.

And that would have to be enough. Its just that I want to do more.

Ugh, otherwise all is good at my house.

I had planned to spend today at the beauty shop, and getting a couple
pieces of clothing but alas no. And Derrick and his provider are out
having fun.

Donna,

Brochitis is terrible when you already have trouble with coughing. I hope you feel better soon.

My other friend took me to the Art fair or else I would have had to take the Van. I enjoyed the class. We went out to eat lunch afterwards and then shopping. I had a good time but boy am I ever bushed now.

I can mark laundry off of my list....

Now if I can only remember where I put my to do list...

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Dear Befuddled,
Good for you for not answering the phone!
She can wait until people wake up to for her beer run!
That's so cool about taking an art class at the fair.
Did you bring home the piece you did?

Dear Donna,
Do you have a doc to call? Your mom's doc?
I don't know if you would still be contagious, but someone would.
Perhaps it is better to keep out of the hospital -- more for you than for the patients perhaps.
Get lots of rest and do what you can to take care of yourself.

Dear Waves,
'Sorry that you are down and lonely.
The tasks you cite are hugely important -- maybe in part because they keep us connected to our world and to ourselves.
They are part of self-nurture I think. And they keep us on track so that we can be ready to do more when the bipolar gets out of our way and lets us.
I wish I could help you with the computer issues.
Some days, I'd like to put a few people at Microsoft in jail for the crap they make us use.

Dear Abbie,
Way to go!! The Laundry is done!
I haven't started on mine. Maybe it will wait for tomorrow.

Dear Pam,
I went to Ross and bought two little inexpensive purses.
I think I have been carrying around too much in my purse because it is easy for me to keep track of everything since it's all in one place.
But the big a++ purse means I have a heavier purse and in some ways a bigger target. . . not sure if that makes sense.
I can keep a closer eye on a smaller purse I think.

I am not sure I can stay away completely.

Mari,

I took a photography class and all I brought home from that was a one page print out. I did write down a few terms that I found out the meaning to later.

Dioptre or Diopter - A unit of measurement of the optical power of a lens.

Low Dispersion - Prevents chromatic aberration because it concentrates & directs the wavelength of light more effectively onto the camera's lens.

Abberration
- Also called color fringing - The effect in which light passing through a lens becomes blurred & produces a fuzzy image on the film.

BTW, the class was way over my head but I did learn some things that can be very useful now. Like to bait wild animals peanut butter and corn is good to use.

Abbie, do you feel better now that the laundry is done? I always feel better when I get chores done. I hope you have a nice Sunday today.
