Default further ideas...

I agree that NeuroTalk is catchey....but it sounds like a place that Neuros would have discussions, at least to me.

I had an idea if anyone can expand on it...

WellnessCentral
or something to that effect with Wellness as a qualifier?
WellnessMatters

This board seems to be more "healing" in tone/nature each day. And
it would be nice to have that meaning in the title. And we ARE expanding away from the old "neuro" frame, each day.

Default What about: "NeuroTalk&Support" ?

Here are a few ideas for a name, from several names you all came up with:

NeuroTalk&Support, or Neurotalk&Support, or

NeurotalkToo, or

NeuroSupport, or

NerveTalkToo, or

Nervetalk&Support

I also like a little lighter (creamy color) background, since I'm a four eyes (wear glasses).

P.S. Hey, Mrs. D., what are you doing up at this hour?

Post all of your forum name suggestions here. A poll will be compiled in a few days of all the suggestions and we'll have a vote on it!

I still think that 'neuro' implies it's a place to go specifically for neuro disorders. As seen with OBT, everything under the sun is discussed including breast cancer, colon diseases, suicide, etc..

So, how do we get people with psych, neuro, and health disorders if that's what everyone wants.

If it's just neuro, I guess the only way I fit in here is because I have an AVM in my brain. Unless my other illnesses are neuro-related. I suppose everything is in some way, I dunno.

The way I found OBT in 1998 was getting on the internet and searcing 'head injury'. That led me straight there. It was nice because of the broad spectrum of other disorders and health related problems, not just neuro.

That's what got me here, so now that I'm thinking about it, I guess people aren't going to go and search for the name of our place but rather they'll be surfing the web for something specific and stumble in. Or be referred.

I defer to the Doc's expertise.

(For some reason the word 'matters' bothers me though. Like Brain Matters.. makes me think of literally grey matter, ick)

I like the idea of expanding the name to include more than brain or neuro.

Healthtalk
Healingtalk
Lifetalk
Meditalk

Looks like I am for keeping the talk and just changing the "brain" to something else.

lifenet

Maybe we need something that is generic, psych maybe mental issues to some, and ortho, bone related, neuro, the nerve injuries. We do have a variety of support forums.

Perhaps it is best to on one hand keep part of our old name for identity, or is it better for a "New Life".

Just thinking out loud.

Since we do have such a broad span of conditions and topics, what about something that tries to capture the essence of what we are all dealing with:

ChronicLife

ChronicTalk

ChronicIssues

or something with Chronic in the name, that wd identify us to people searching for such a support group?

Or something even simpler:

IllnessTalk

Disorder(ly) Talk, or Disorder Central?

Just trying to think along the lines of KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid)
