If it is less than a year old it should be under warranty??
 I suppose you can open up the little hard drive cover ans see if something is broken or disconnected. BUT!!! But if still under warranty - opening it at all may void any warranty coverage. I suggest calling the store where you bought it, or if online store contact that way, to find out details of the warranty and time limits of it. Or find the receipt and check for info there , or possibly the website of the store might have warranty info.
