Sue,

I've been through 2 brain surgeries also. After the 2nd surgery, my seizures returned 15 months later. I understand what you are going through. It's frustrating when you feel that there isn't anything left out there for you. I was finally able to find a med that would help me. I left the neuro that I was seeing and started seeing an epi. I'm not saying that you have to do the same thing, it's just that the neuro that I was seeing wasn't helping me anymore.

Maybe your epi has some plans for you that you don't know about. Try and work with your epi and let him know what your problems are now. You may just need more testing to see where the seizures are coming from and to find out how your meds can be taken care of to help you more.

As the others said, don't feel bad for letting us know what is going on. We are here for the good times and the bad times. I'm sorry that your family isn't doing the same thing for you.

Hi Beckyboo,
I'm sorry that your sz. returned. I've been working with my epi who I feel is a great epi he's always been way ahead of other Drs. and has written books about E. I looked into having gamma knife surgery done but I found out I would have to have it done 20 times because the brain damage is so deep in the RTL and by the time they were done doing the 20 surgeries my brain would be fried. A vns won't work for me since I have 4 types of sz. auras, absence, cp, and tc sz.
I have learned to take it one day at a time and I'm greatful that I'm not paralyzed or have a more severe medical problem. That's what keeps me going. Thanks for your support and May God Bless You!

Sue

Hi Folks,
I'll be seeing my epi next week and having more testing done to see if stress is causing my sz. My family has been asked to go and speak with my Dr. but they are refusing since they don't want to face the truth that it was family stress that caused more sz. which in turn lead to more brain damage. I'm just going to follow my Drs. orders and cut myself off from them. It will be hard but I don't want my sz. to get any worse. I hope all of you are doing well and May God Bless All of You!
