Default Anyone Had Anything Like This?

I found this forum, and I guess it would be a good place to ask this and see if anyone else has had any issues like this. Hopefully I can cut this down as much as possible and make it make sense.

Im a 23 year old male, and I guess I have to go back to Feburary 2010. I was working outside doing doing yardwork, all of a sudden my right ring finger started burning, like I had gotten it too cold. I came in and ran it under hot water and it didn't go away for settle down for probably an hour or so. That night I was in my room and the back of my neck all of a sudden went numb. By the next morning I was getting a pins and needles feeling up my spine and up to the top of my head, pins and needles feelings all over. I went to the medclinic, they didnt really do a whole lot except refer me to a doctor and a neurologist. They did order an MRI of the upper back/neck/brain. Did those and I went to the neurologist and absolutely nothing was found abnormal. In the meantime I was getting all kinds of crazy symptoms. I couldnt sit up straight for a week or more without feeling nautious, even dizzy, I'd get numb (parathesia) in random areas where I wouldnt be able to feel touch, but could feel some pain/temperature, I'd get random heavy feelings. All of this happening..multiple times a day, for a long time. Probably far more symptoms but honestly..its been 4 years and I have a hard time remembering all of them at this point.

In this span from Febuary 2010 to December 2012 I had a massive amount of medical testing. Two sets of MRIs check/back X-rays, multiple heart tests, had an (I believe its EEG) to test for seizures, multiple blood tests, the basic lyme disease test, and basically the result all of this was almost nothing turned up. One one hand its good to hear they cant find anything, but I still felt horrible most days. The most common symptom that stuck around was a numb-ish feeling under the throat, but I'd still get "attacks" of these symptoms, sometimes spaced out over a day sometimes all at once. I went to the hospital one time in 2011, they ran a blood test and gave me an anxiety med, which..did calm my anxiety but did almost nothing for the symptoms. I did go to a chiropractor and overall it did help..or atleast changed. I'd also get the cobweb feelings or bug crawling feelings, I still get a lot of vertigo type feeling. One big thing thats happened since this started, is that I have developed what I could call severe anxiety, somewhat being a hypochondriac since this started. I do notice now I had some anxiety before this ,but nothing anywhere near this level. So I still wind up feeling a lot, getting a ton of symptoms, like my nervous system is constantly oversensitive and so far I've gotten no solutions..has anyone else had anything similar?

Should also say a lot of the symptoms I feel now include vertigo, fatigue, soreness/tense muscles. A lot of minor frustrating things that come and go.

Hi,

So sorry you are having these types of problems. The doctor can be so
frustrating. When they cannot find anything. All the tests. So frustrating.

Sounds like nerve damage. The heaviness, numbness and tingling- strange
sensations are classic signs. I think the intense anxiety before having an
"Attack" is not good. I get this also.

I am also having a lot of muscle pain and symptoms such as you describe,
along with recently having episodes or attacks (whatever you call them)
of not being able to move- paralysis. I am thinking Parkinson's Disease
or Multiple System Atrophy for me because I just watched my dad go through
MSA. Lots and lots of similar things as I am having that have been so
confusing and hard to explain. His disease actually shed a lot of light on what is
and has been happening to me for a long time now.

I am not saying that you have Parkinson's Disease and I hope I don't but this type of illness is similar to what you are describing. Especially in the early
stages. Do you have any kind of sleep problems that you are aware of?
Like, acting out your dreams for instance?

I hope you get feeling better soon and you just have a pinched nerve or something. I don't mean to scare you but this is the insight I have.

Yea, I do not believe it is that..as my symptoms have been there 4 years. I have a lot of friends with anxiety as well and know it can be an awful thing, especially for people who suffer health anxiety. I have friends who, anxiety alone causes similar symptoms in. The anxiety can happen at any time, not just with the symptoms, infact the anxiety has become a pretty common thing. I really have to think that it is pinched nerve related, because sometimes it is positional, or sometimes movements can bring it on. I was at a chiropractor one time, and I was having a really bad attack, and within a couple minutes of an adjustment, it calmed down. Occasionally right after the attacks occur I will get a tight or tingly feeling between the shoulder blades. I would also not be surprised by if there was something like fibromyalgia in play. There are some days where I can almost totally put it behind me. I actually race cars, and somehow on most of those days I can get away without most of these symptoms.

I have something similar symptoms (amongst other things). Lucky the finger thing you are talking about has past with myself, my fingers use to turn white. I have had no luck, they just chuck it under nerve paraesthesia. I don't know why but i found when getting the nerve pain throughout my body panadole seemed to make it worse. Morphine based pain relief didn't take a scrap of pain away, so i don't bother with it anymore. Hot showers sometimes feel like they make it worse. When the pain is absent or the best its going to get, go for walks, low key excercise, nothing straining, as i also feel this could be a possible trigger sometimes. Give warm up and cool down stretches a shot before strenuous or repetitive activity, maybe?. I also feel sometimes going from the heat outdoors to air conditioning might play a part, and vice versa. Don't sit still for too long because i know how painful it is when you have this and get pins and needles. When you sleep, try use pillows to prop yourself comfortably. I'm sorry i have no set advice to give, just personal speculations.
