Carrie Ann,
Symptoms from CRPS tend to stay in one area, usually the injury and below it. However, spread is certainly possible and when nerves are aggravated from other problems pain can spread too. The little guys are all about communication so nerve irritation can travel peripherally and centrally. I'm glad you have the neuro appointment. They are the ones who initially diagnosed me and they can look at other possibilities for you as well. CRPS mimicks a lot of different things, ie: neuropathy, which is why rule out is so important. With the coldness on your hands and feet I would make sure they address any possible circulation issues. Be sure to give the timeline of injury and symptom development and remember that not all your symptoms may be related since you have other things going on as well. You may have more than one animal there though it all sounds like something neuro could address. Hopefully your new PCP can help give you direction for any other care. Good luck on your appointments!

I will second Littlepaw's recommendation of CRPS. I am certainly no doctor, but I too have had to deal with CRPS for at least since last January. All the symptoms sound very familiar. Littlepaw has given so much in trying to provide her knowledge and experiences over the past year plus. The only person that can truly make that diagnosis is a doctor, preferably one familiar with CRPS and only after ruling out any other possibilities. It is a diagnosis of elimination, which makes it tough to diagnose in a reasonable amount of time
Best of luck to you on your appointment. Let us know how it goes, and don't be afraid to stop in in the RSD/CRPS board and ask a few questions. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum21.html We are an open bunch and are very welcoming, even if it turns out to be something else. Support is never lacking around there or anywhere else on NeuroTalk.
