I've never tried it, but I certainly have the same problem with the bowl of rocks, (I think that is so funny). Stool softeners don't do anything for me, I think I will try it, who knows.

I have found that acidopholus or lactobacillus helps. yogurt is a wonderful thing with live cultures, but clearly I am not going to be able to take miralax on a regular basis.

Just found this thread. Doctor told me to take miralax after my sigmoidscopy that I had on Tuesday. I was wondering how long I should take it. I am experiencing less pain and no bleeding, but am dealing with feeling of fullnes, bloating, etc. I assume he wants me stay on it until I am pain free. I am supposed to call his office on Monday and report on "my progress."

They say the bloat and fullness will go away after you start to get empty. I cut my dose in half because I couldnt deal with that level of bloat.

I added yogurt, and fiber tablets to my routine. Benefiber has a nice product that is tasteless, and you wont notice it. also tablets can be swallowed and done with. The miralax will pull in water, and the fiber will sweep you out.

I hope you feel better quick.
