My appointment is on tuesday but I am so depressed. The only treatment in the 26yrs I have been going there is a pep talk.Ive been in 3 studies and taken just about all I can take.Makes me wonder when did they give up... I am starting to wonder if I should not put any hope into a pep talk.Just a long trip to tell me what I've lost which is hopeI think it's better if I cancel. What would you people do?

It looks like you might be in a last minute manic - no problem. Go to the appointment. If you remain strong; It can't hurt you. It would seem you may have a reason for hope so take it and fly with it my friend. Do as prior posts have told you and take all. All the info you need is in prior posts. Good Luck - all prayers with you.

Be strong, and have a good idea in YOUR mind what you expect, and want from this visit. If you feel dismissed, or jerked around, you can always go to a new MD.

Take your list of questions.
Take a person with you to help with a clean set of ears
Take a list of your current symptoms
Take a list of what you expect from them. ask if they can do it.
Take a list of ALL of your current meds/suppliments.

come back and tell us all about it. We are cheering for you!

Just wanted to drop by to wish you good luck on your doctor visit later today!!! The others have given you some good advice about questions, lists, etc. Are you now on an anti-depressant? You might want to talk with them about that aspect since depression is one of the many symptoms of this wonderful disease. I struggle with it most of the time........I also use a "chair" since my legs don't work. Is that how you get around?

Please try to remember that this disease is very fickle and doesn't look or act the same in any two people. There will be some disappointments along with some good times.....just like people without MS. One day at a time!!!

Take care......Judy

I'm a bit confused about your clinic visit.
I realise you had a bad trial experience etc but can't you attend the clinic with the assumption that they are able to help you in some way, rather than get you into another trial?
Sorry, i'm probably missing the point and things have gone pear shaped for you in the past but to me, a clinic visit is for me, for my needs, for my questions, to help me.
I use whomever I can to get what I need. They are there for my use. Not the other way round.

Are you wanting 'convential' treatments? Can't you get any?
