I'm catching up to you two. Early sixties here.
![]() ![]() We three had this disease, longer than we did not have it. Also, we are still kicking butt. ![]() Anyone else pushing sixty? ![]()

sal, your story makes me sad in a way. you lost your partner, your shipmate on life's stormy seas.
but also happy for you because you know who you are and the way you deal with your challenges is to be applauded. whilst i was a district nurse i could never get used to helping with deaths at home and the aftermath for the families. in fact, i can't drive around the city anymore for thinking about so and so who loved down this and that street. but don't leave us. i for one enjoy reading your contributions and would feel the gap if you weren't here. ![]() |

Yeah Sally I could have written that, but I doubt many, if any, on here are in that category. You know, "Old as Dirt". Tee hee
I just wanted to know if anyone is in the 6th decade or the near sixty range. I think the tops we have here, besides the three of us are, are no higher than in their 50's. Unless they don't want to admit the 6th decade. ![]() Sally no matter what you think about yourself at times, for us. ![]()

![]() So, no, not pushing 60 quite yet, just draggin' 50 behind me like a stone.. Sally, I've been thinking about similar things lately (not because of my age..50's the new 30 after all ![]() I don't know if this resonates with you at all, just wanted to share my thoughts. ![]() ![]()

In Whales of August, about two aging sisters (Bette Davis and Lillian Gish) one says "Life, you never know what will happen". My SIL (well in her 60s) and I like to say this as much like Lillian Gish's character as possible at certain times.
Nobody knows what might happen. This is one sometimes dark and wild ride.

I love my senior discounts!!!!! I don't want my youngest grandaughter to have all this on her shoulders but she keeps me going! My goal is to see her children born. I am 60, she is 3 so I had better keep my body going for a while longer. My DH is a different story. All the men in his family died before ther were in the early 70s or less. He is 62 so he knows that his days are numbered and he justs accepts that. I wouldn't!
