I have not had any experience with tramadol. However after tapering off of neurontin I experienced nausea as well as other problems for over a month.

tramadol should have been pretty easy to come off of, but as with any med, any one can have any reaction to it. Nuerontin was my horrible med. I felt awful the whole time I was on it. I felt like I was walking under water, and wobbly. I gave that stuff up quick.
Call your MD and ask for advice. Some meds need to be gotten off of slowly. ![]()

yeah it's weird tramadol isn't all that great of a drug. I mean I can see having withdrawals from the narcotic pain meds they put me on, which of course I don't take as prescribed for that very reason, I don't want to be addicted to the darn things. But I do take them when the pain becomes intolerable. Stomach was a little better this morning. Thinking I am just going to stay off and let my body get back to normal; well, as normal as my body gets now a days.

I have heard that withdrawal from tramadol is very difficult. I once
ran out of my neurontin over the holidays when the neuro office was closed. Within two days it was like I had the worst flu ever!! Called the doc on call and within 20 minutes of taking the med, all was back to normal! I dread the day I have to go off of my tramadol and neurontin. Hugs to you. ![]()

leggs, I was on Tramadol, before, during and after back surgery. I would even double the dosage, and take it more often (Sssshh don't tell anyone) because the pain was so bad before they opened my L-spine up. I had no problem stopping it at all.
Afterward a car accident injured my back almost in the same place. I also was on it for pain from that problem. I really took the bad edge off the pain. It doesn't have a long pain relieving effect, so that is why I took it more often than recommended. Are you sure you didn't have a tummy bug? I had/have one now, for the last few days. I think it's making the rounds, my son had it and granddaughter also. Maybe try another pain med.? I don't care for any SR medication, since absorption is so different with all of us. Also, not everyone can tolerate all meds the same. I hope you find one that works for you. Neurontin stopped working for me years ago.
