Have you ever had trouble with varicose veins poochie?
If the pain was a sharp pain on walking that eased on resting, I'd have wondered about your arteries but because your legs ache all the time immediately makes me think varicose veins. It's difficult not to blame everything on MS because so many of our symptoms are the fault of the disease, but I do think it's important to eliminate other causes before we do so. With pain in such an isolated spot on your leg I personally wouldn't have thought MS, but then again MS never sticks to any rules of any kind.

I walk a lot and have varicose veins. I had my doc look them over and she wasn't concerned, nor do they cause me pain. I would definitely recommend having it checked out.
(I'm in pain daily, but it's head pain... I do get Charlie Horses in my calves on occasion, and used to get some cramping in my legs until I started taking more magnesium, and added calcium to my daily vitamin mix (which is now only D3, calcium and magnesium, plus my 2 prescriptions). Hope your pain subsides ![]()

I'm glad your varicose veins don't cause you pain dmplaura, but some people suffer with frightful leg pain because of their's. Pain is frequently the first symptom to send people to their doctor, long before any vein swelling is visible.
As we all know there many things that will cause leg pain; cramps, claudication, and varicose veins being just a few. If it continues, mention it to your GP when next you visit.

![]() When I noticed them, I brought them up with the doctor immediately for her to look at. She wasn't very concerned in my case, but I don't experience pain from mine, and my father also has them so good chance there's a hereditary link for me.

There can be many reasons for pain. I originally started my entire ordeal with foot pain. My pain is where the tendons attach to the bones and nerve pain as well. Because of the tendons being sore, I get pain in many different areas that I presume is my body trying to compensate for my poor coordination. You will need to make note of the details of your pain and tell your doctor. My point is keep your mind open, I never thought that I would be in the boat that I am with having arthritis and possibly MS, too. Good luck and don't give up even if your doc brushes you off. (it took me fussing for 2yrs to get an MRI and then the doc apologized when the MRI came back with lesions, they also missed my arthritis because I don't have RA, I have a gene that finally lead my Rheumy to my dx, doc's don't know it all, all the time).
