Kadi - You would need to check with your state to see what assistance would be available to you. Most states have some type of program to help lower income people/families with things like health insurance, cash assistance, food stamps, etc. Although food stamps is a federal program, some states offer additional assistance. I am not sure how that works. It is worth checking in to. Even a few "dollars" a month extra helps out.

If you are talking prescription medications, a lot of the manufacturers have assistance programs. You would need to contact them in order to get the assistance.
