Hi Debb, welcome back. I've had that skin hurting type of symptoms. I remember it happening during an exacerbation, when I was still RRMS. It also happens to me when I have a fever from illness.

Hope it's just temporary for you. If it persists, then check with your Doc, you may be having a MS attack.

If it is pink/red, in addition to hurting, I'd see a doctor.

Cellulitis is like this. Warm + red/pink+ pain should be seen
by a doctor.

I agree with all above- an acute infection could cause painful skin.
On the other hand, MS can give you skin that pinches, scrunches, has spiders crawling over it, feels wet when it's dry, feels cold when it's warm, feels like you have a stitch sewn through it, has a voodoo doll fan sticking pins in it, itching, scratching and tingly. All at once or of course any combination of...
