I admit that I have tried skipping meds to see if they really do help. I take Adderall XR and have tried to skip it and my fatigue level goes through the roof. Ampyra didn't do a thing for me and increased my fatigue level.

This is not a med that your life depends on like blood pressure or antidepressant. So stopping it for a bit is not going to affect anything crucial. I think you have gotten your answer though and see that it helps you after all.

Default ampyra

I have been taking ampyra 4 over a year i needed a refill 5 days ago my insurance company (carefirst) would not refill it because i owe $160 i have been with this company since 1989, i wanted to make arrangement to pay
1st of jan because i dont have the funds no reply. do anybody know what affects u get when u stop taking this medicine i already miss 5 pills

Welcome to Neurotalk, mimi! Any effects of going off a medication will differ per person. You've already missed 5 pills, so chances are you've already felt any effects if there are to be any.

Funny how those experiments will let you know that the med was actually doing what it was supposed to. I'm glad you learned that the Ampyra was doing its' job.
