Must be an outdated machine...I'm usually cold in that room because they keep the room cooler because of the heat of the magnets working, I guess...
I know contrast helps the docs see if there's new lesion activity, but honestly if you aren't having issues, why put yourself through it again?

Barb, that sounds absolutely crazy! The machine was so hot it was burning your skin? I'd report the machine to the MRI center -- politely ask them if that's normal (because I have a hunch it's not). It does sound like an old machine. A lot of people with neurological diseases can't tolerate big temp changes on skin. This day and age they should be able to find you a more modern one!

Debbie - I am usually cold too.
Natalie, They did tell me at the hospital that the machine was smaller and a bit older than others at imaging centers and hospitals in the city. I just used the closest place for convenience sake, but I will not be going there again! |
