Oh yes.
I use glycerine suppositories almost daily so that I can go, since I rarely can get myself to go on my own, and if I wait, there's the chance I might have an accident. It's happened quite a few times, I'm embarrassed to admit. I wear protective underwear 24/7 due to urinary incontinence but bowel incontinence is a whole other issues. There isn't much worse in life than that, I don't think. I know that glycerine suppositories can become habit forming and they certainly have for me, but I simply don't know how to cope otherwise. I have two young kids and am out of the house at sports/school/daycare with them constantly, I can't be near a toilet all the time. I have real trouble with kegel exercises... I never used to have a problem with them but it's clear the ability to do them has been affected by my nerves being shot to the lower half of my body. I try to do them but I end up getting really frustrated when I can't. |
