<Love this thread! I like the idea of being able to voice what's buggin' me about my MS without having to complain to family or friends b/c I *hate* to complain to them. Thx, Sally!>

My MS is treating me better than it has in several months, if you don't count the spasticity caused by the cold weather here and the vertigo from the barometric pressure changes. Also, I finally feel like I'm recovering from all the craziness of the holidays! I do have a lot of fatigue, so I try to space out my daily "chores" throughout the day.

I was dx'ed Dec. 23, '05...been on avonex, copaxone, then beta...couldn't tolerate any of 'em, so now I'm on no DMDs. I have my pill arsenal to fight the sxs...neurontin, zanaflex, antivert, klonopin, phenegren, provigil (occasionally). I see my neuro next Monday for my 6 month check up. I think I'm going to ask again about LDN...he really isn't a fan.

For all of you, I hope your MS is treating you well today!

CayoKay, I hear the back trouble and frayed around the edges. I just hate how MS makes everything seen so much worse.

I don't know what your particular back problem is, but mine is spasm, so I find that, laying on your back and bringing your knews up to your nose, is a great stretch and helps to strengthen the back muscles.

MSCherokee, My DH grew up in Union and Englewood. You and I and Kimmy will have to meet for coffee or a beer sometime.

I hear you on the Avonex, my body couldn't take it either. My Neuro wouldn't script LDN either.., so I have a Doc who i have a phone appt with, every 4 months and He Scripts the LDN for me. I got his name from the LDN site. Let me know if you want it.

Hi Bets and Welcome. I'm sorry about your pain..Are you taking anything for it? I guess it's not working so well, if you are. Standing on concrete, most likely, didn't help, but on the good side, at least you could stand. Feel better soon..

Yep, it's hard to be a ((((((mommywms))))))). He!!, it's hard to be a grandmother with MS, with a daughter with MS, who has 5 wonderful children.

Koala77, tell me about the cement blocks.. Although in the wintertime, mine are not so bad, but I know, that's the opposite for most MSers. I hope your muscles relax for you, soon..

Hi freeinhou, Sorry about your MS *stuff* getting in the way of your "launch" .... I hope everything clears up so it's a *GO*..

Oh duh, Joyce..Sage is a wittle girl..I dumb. I hope all goes well and I so understand the mother & child thingy. I'm glad to here you're feeling a bit better.....*little steps*

Hey, tkrik, good for you.. Denial is our friend..LOL!

KAOheim..Ahhh, a ray of sunshine peeking out from the clouds.. I like winter, too.

Hi herekitty, So sorry about you numbness. I hope you're not starting a flare. Here's hoping and praying it's not..Feel better..

TheSleeper...another ray of sunshine...I love it.
BTW welcome and nice to meet you.

Hi jowen....I could get used to this sunshine. Welcome to the club . Yes, family tries, but they just don't fully understand, like we all do, here.

Sally,

Did you mention beer? Sounds like fun! Did your hubby happen to graduate from Northmont?

I was wondering how people were able to get LDN. Has it seemed to work well for you? I would certainly consider giving it a try, especially if this ON decides to stick around a while.

The beer or the college? And shouldn't that be "olden times?"

LOL, back in the "olden days". Hubby and I both graduated from Northmont, and I knew that at one point in time it was called Randolph. Yeah, big world travelers we are.

So far, "knock on Wood", My MS is doing ok today. Not too foggy, nor intensely numb. Here's hoping for it to stay that way.

Muscle spasms in lower back and left leg were pretty bad last night. Took a baclofen -- helped some but they make me nauseated. My neuro has me taking one at night on an as needed basis. does anyone else do this? Feeling a little better today. I am going to stay inside out of the cold weather.
