Well with the major winter storm that hit us yesterday, I had to cancel. It is rescheduled for Friday eve.

Yes Cherie. My nuero does every two year MRIs if everything is OK. I was having problems in '99 and 2000 and she did a couple of extra. I had been able to put on a false facwe with my family for a long time and I have just decoded that I can't do that anymore. Plus two grandkids are a lot different than one especially with the second one so much bigger than the first. We say that Trinity was a china doll and Ellie is a Gerber baby. She is just a hunk and I can't do the same. Well I try to do the same and it wears me out enough that the family notices!

Sorry to hear about that big storm and I don't know whether to be happy for you that you got a reprieve from your MRI appointment, or commiserate that you have more time to worry about it.

Thinking of you in either case.

I'm not worried about it at all. I don't think I have changed in the last 2 years. I'm just glad I don't have to get up so early. My only problem now is that 8 PM is part of the day that I am very much awake and alert. The 8:30 AM appointment would have let me doze some.

Doydie - Good luck this evening. I had an MRI on Tuesday. I will find out the results today.

If you feel anxious about the MRI let the neuro know and they can prescribe a sedative (of course you will need a designated driver). I am so incredibly claustrophobic that I always go sedated. One time, I thought I would be "brave" and tough it out. NOT. They had to pull me out of the tube twice. On the 2nd time the gave me a Xanax to put under my tongue (works faster - within 15 minutes). No more being brave for me; sedated is how I do it.

I also let the techs know. I lay as still as possible - didn't even want to swallow. LOL Tuesday's MRI was done in less than 40 minutes (head and C-spine) and she said she got great pictures.

As for the slowing down, it is part of aging as well. Although I am in my 40's some days I feel like I'm in my 70's, physically and cognitively. LOL. Hang in there. It is OK to slow down some.

Good luck tonight Doydie. I wasn't aware there was a limit to how many times you can go through! I've only had 3, so am in no danger of having too many at this stage.

Koala, there are no limits as to how many times you can have an MRI. I said that to say if I could do 11 in one week, I can do this 1 this week.

They had another person scheduled to have an MRI about a half hour ahead of me and he was slow filling out his paper work. So they put me in the back up machine. It's a mobile MRI and I could tell the exterior walls to the small room it was in were quite cold. Also they couldn't hook music into me!!!!! So this was my first one without any music. I just hope the back up machine took as good pictures. They told me I could have waited for the other machine but when I left, he was still in it.
