Talking Limbo check in 5/21 Free donuts!

Good morning!

Coffee is on and munchies are ready for ya. Come on in, make yerself at home.

I thought my pain clinic appt was for May but it was April and I missed t! Had to call and reset that. I was so embarrassed. My neuro appt is for July something. I get this whole month off from docs, imagine that!

I've been doing pretty good. Doing a lot of gardening, some cleaning when the weather isn't good to be outside. My back is yelling "Stop, stop, you're killing me!" LOL... but it's a good kind of sore. A normal sore. Know what I mean?

I took a muscle relaxer last night, woke up and every bone in my back cracked.

Only new thing... my right foot feels like burning/freezing drops of water on top. Never had any sx there. That is the kind of thing I get in spring - summer, but in other places, and it's ususally just a cool water feeling.

And the stabbing pain, spasm in left hand is coming back. Almost like a shock.

I hear a lot of others are content with the cooler weather, but I could go for a warm up. It's too damp for me. My bones are complaining. On the other hand, after that hot tub incident, I have to wonder how I'll do if it gets really hot this summer. I only put my feet in the water for a couple minutes and it really affected me. My sympathies to all who are thus affected all summer.

Big hugs to all my buddies....

So, what's new?

Anyone for drinks on the pier after dinner?

GOOD MORNING folks~!

My dear Brain, so GLAD to learn you are moving around and feeling a bit better. YOU deserve some good weather and ability to get out and do what you love to do.

For me, I see the "other neuro" tomorrow for a f/u on my sleep apnea and pos EMG for carpal tunnel. At that EMG, I told him of the electrical shock like pain in my legs and tingling/buzzing/tremors and he said I'd have to see the MS neuro and HE'd order yet another EMG of my legs...what? He was already doing the EMG. I guess it takes yet another "order" for insurance purposes.

Looking over all my MRI reports, I learned that there is a suspicious lesion on the pons that they never talked to me about 2 years ago. The MS neuro wanted to do another MRI last year but I could not afford it. My 20+ lesions have never changed over the years until this suspicious lesion on the pons.

I swear I have autonomic dysfunction due to something on or near my brainstem.. and my last Rhueumy also thought that and sent a letter..but they have not even looked at it. I made one of the neuro's look at it at my EMG appt. I will bring this up next week to my MS neuro. Its because my neuro exams are "good" that clinically they aren't concerned.

My work saga only gets worse. Again I am being "observed" by the supervisor who's out to get me removed. So now "to be fair" because we just dont agree that I am ineffective as a therapist, she said the MEDICAL director and a senior Peer would observe me too. WHAT?????

I did meet with the manager of all outpatient therapists in outlying clinics (not in the hosp where I work) and she was impressed with my enthusiams and ability to hustle and work hard therefore would keep me in mind for a transfer.

In an outpatient clinic I would be back on my own and not made to be observed or doubt my effectiveness. After all they have tons of surveys from my patients who have had many positive things to say.. only.. they never tell me. A head nurse came up to me and said she was happy to meet me as she reads these surveys and saw all the positive comments.

AND I have applied at another hosp and waiting to see what they offer.

All in all, I am getting out of there. She observed me last night and still says I dont do this or that when I KNOW that I do. Its a lose-lose situation and she has the power. BUT I maintain my professional integrity and competency... she CANNOT take that away from me.

Whooa.. BREATHE BREATHE.. its been so tense to come to work.

Know that I think of you all and wish you wellness.

Warmly, Jan

Jeez, Jan... If they wanted to be *fair*, they'd have someone observe you that wasn't out to get you. I think I'd hire a lawyer.

But then again, all things for a reason, and I think you will be better off at that clinic. You could use a forune teller, huh? lol...

Oddly, I have almost the same sx in my left leg but have not had an EMG. I did have an x ray of the hip which looked fine - no arthritis or inflamation/damage of any sort.

The hip pain comes and goes still, and the neuro thinks it's fibro, the old pcp thought ms, the pain doc says SM. LOL. I'm going with SM for now. I'll ask the new pcp what he thinks.

We should both sign up to be on Mystery Diagnosis.

Hi everyone...Brain, what in Heaven's name is going on with you and these new sxs? Hope you get some answers at your next appt.
Jan...the sooner you get out of there, the better. Just try to remember not to burn your bridges...

My youngest (and only daughter) graduated from college this past weekend. It was bittersweet. She's not coming home,so I cried on the way home.

We're counting down to my youngest son's wedding on June 1. I've been raking up lava rocks so we can put mulch down. Our pond has 3 fish now...it had 5, but two ducks decided to eat a snack. Grrr!

Sxs continue to return. Now, tingling of right hand and forearm (not at same time), tingling of calves, wet feeling on left calf, and spasms in back and hamstrings. But I'm feeling all right, so I try to ignore it all.

Well, I hear there's a warmup coming to the Midwest, so I hope all of us can handle it!!

Take care and see you all next week...
No donuts for me, Brain, I have to fit into my mother of the groom outfit!!

Hi Ladies,
I'm so sorry for all the drama and symptoms going on in your lives right now!

Sheesh!! Poor things!!

Jan, I'm just by all that is happening to you! I hope you find a resolution soon. This can't be good for your nerves, nope, not one bit!

I'm taking one of those calorie free donuts today!! I'm dieting and doing well. I'm just counting calories and adding more exercise, by default My job has me running on my feet all day, and I have nary a second to even eat. I figure I'll drop this nasty 20 lbs by July if this keeps up

I'm jazzed by my stocks going up recently and hope they continue upwards. I'm hanging on to oil related stocks during this crazy boom. Wish me luck

Hope I see you all again next week with some good news!!

Take care and watch out for yourselves!!!

J

I'm wondering if the shock like sx is part of L'Hermittes Sign. I get it but it mostly effects my arms hands. It's shock like and spikes down into my hands when I dip my chin. It usually happens when I overdo it, or am overheated. HTH

BTW, I appreciate the donuts, the zero calories are my fav. May I have one for later?
